I have a problem using my PVR150 blaster. The receiver works ok but the transmitter has stop working. I do not see the transmitter light flashing when I use my remote. Do anyone know what I can use as transmitter now to control my STB? I went to Hauppauge site to check if they sell the blaster separately but I did not find anything. I do not want to buy a new card just to get the transmitter to control my STB. Any help would be appreciated.
I've been having an issue with interference on one specific channel. It's 48, the Sci Fi channel. At times it's been okay, but lately, it has not been okay. I get this severe waving bands across the screen. I had a new issue pop up when I recorded Read or Die during Ani Monday there was a distortion in the audio as well. This issue only pops up during recording.
I really don't know what is causing this. It's only this channel. I do have my PVR150 and PVR150MCE right next to each other. The only new thing that has been plugged into my room is a SNES.
Ever since I upgraded to 1.1.5 in November, and then tried to use the EVR and thus .net 3.x, I have had problems with live tv. Most of the issues resembles the stuttering described in the Disappointing MPEG2 decoding thread. As the dvb-application that came with the card (Twinhan 3030) plays ok, I have ruled out the quartz problem.
Since then I have completely reinstalled XP (format c and reinstalled my most important applications, to no good.
I have also tried the same combinations of video and audio codecs as I had in 1.0.16 according to my backuped confix.xml, still no satisfied quality on video.
The track I would like to follow is to analyze what's in use when using DigitalTV that came with with the card, and here I fail to - what do I need in order to do this? Can it be done in realtime? (Alternate path is to DL 1.0.16 if I can find it anywhere, mine got blown away with the reformat) and start off from there, as when installing th original 0.x I did nothing to the codecs)
A tutorial would just save my day as WAF is on rapid decline :-(
ANYTHING will be appreciated, as the tips and tricks discussed in Disappointing... seems no to have solved my problem.
I have by trying to setup GBPVR with my HVR-1600 with no luck. I have tried numerous different settings with no luck.
I have a Dishpro 381 receiver hooked to my 1600 through S-video and a Nivdia 6200LE hook to my TV through composite. I can view windows and everything but I can see anything in live TV or record.
I tried the tuning assistant and get nothing. I did the MUX checker and installed the Cyberlink MUX which I thought would fix things but nothing still.
I am using Microsoft MCE Remote 2005 (version 2). As is. Just plugged it in and away I went. It work's Fine in GBPVR menus. Works with recordings / DVD's. But when I use MovieWiz to play divx movies. My remote will not do anything. Do I have to install HIP just to be able to use my remote with the MovieWiz plugin? If so. Could someone tell me if I am doing something wrong. I installed HIP (ALL plugins and Program Files). Followed these intructions from the WIKI Remote control mappings:
HIP configuration files: Hauppauge Remote, MCE Beanbag, GB-PVR mapping
Download:HIP-MCE-RemoteConfigs.zip (456 downloads)
Copy these files into HIP directory.
Start HIP, configure, File, Open Configuration, select appropriate config file.
From Remote I/O menu, select Remote Key Map.
Click âOpen Key Mapâ and select appropriate remote control file. Click OK to save.
(either âMCE-MCE2005 v2 Remote.hkmâ or âMCE-Hauppauge Remote.hkmâ)
To save configuration, Click File menu and âSave Configurationââ¦
After that when I tried the remote in the GBPVR menus. It was skipping. When I clicked down once on the remote it would go down twice on the screen.
I have a 42" AKAI HDTV Plasma (manual says 1024x1024 native resolution) and am wondering what is the "ideal" computer display resolution to use (to minimize scaling, etc.). This computer is ONLY used for PVR (I typically do maintenance using Ultra-VNC on my laptop vs. using keyboard/mouse on the computer itself).
I've had a bash at modifying the reflect theme and it would be great if anybody would be willing to try it out and let me know what they'd change. I'd really like to whip it into shape before I send it off to Fatman_do and try and avoid the dribs and drabs approach I used last time :o. I've tried to simplify it and use another pallet. I've tweaked the TVGuide and added an altered TVGuide - Alternative, both of these "should" work with which ever <TVGuideChannelHeaderType> is selected in the config.
Hopefully just copy everything from the Resources folder in to ".....\gbpvr\Plugins\SkinPlugin\Resources" and the two guide_masks in to ".....\gbpvr\skin2\Community3\_CoreImages", you should then be able to select the "Reflect - Black" theme in the Apply a new theme section of the skin plugin.
I'd love any feedback on any asthetical changes needed and if the formatting is okay.
