This has probably been mentioned before but I can't easily find it on the forums, so just wondering if everyone gets the last second or two of songs cut off in the default music library or if it is just me - it can be quite obvious at times, and I have often resorted to closing down GB-PVR and just running winamp if I need non-intrusive background music (which has the added advantage of cross-fading of course ).
Would this be a GB-PVR setting or a Media Player one?
I'm messing around with some USB cameras and was wondering, is it possible to get a USB to Network box so that I can access a remote webcam as though it was connected a local PC usb port. I know you can get self contained webcam that do this, but wondering if this is any cheaper.
I understand you can telnet into a MVP remotely, but can you reboot it that way too?
I find that occasionally my MVPs won't reconnect to the gbpvr server without powering them off and back on again. Since that requires fishing them out of the cabinet and unplugging them, and they're scattered around the house is 3 different rooms, it's not very convenient. Is there any way to force a reboot remotely?
Well, this may not be directly related to GBPVR (sorry for that), but I believe people here can help me with this problem.
With my settings below, video and audio are out of sync. Strangely, video is about 1~2 second faster than audio. So I think this is not related to underpowered hardware, but to some inadequate settings.
- Video Decoder: ffdshow
- Audio Decoder: ffdshow
- Video Renderer: VMR9 FSE
- Audio Renderer: WaveOut device
Does someone has any idea why? My guess is waveout audio renderer is causing delay. (I have to use this to avoid choppiness problem.) Is it possible to tweak ffdshow setting to give a few seconds of delay to video?
I can't see what is in the thread, but whenever I try looking at this thread, my browser crashes. Have no idea if it's malicious. Could someone have a look?
When recording back to back recordings fed from a single source, I often find the end of program is missing, but is in fact on the start of the next. This may be a problem with the scheduling?
As I have only one capture card connected to the source, increasing the padding will not fix the problem.
Has anybody got some suggestions on how I could fix this.
I had some ideas.
a) Buy another capture card, and feed it from the same source.
b) Make the single source appear as two seperate sources using filters, such that GBPVR records as if it was 2 seperate virtual sources. Sounds complicated!
c) Develop a batch which adds the start of next program to the proceeding. The problem here is, how do you get the batch to identify a back-to-back program so it knows which files to process.
I guess I could do something cheap and nasty like:
postprocessing.bat
@echo $1 $2 >> queue.txt
and them write another batch which checks queue.txt to determine if 2 subsequent lines are on the same channel. If so, process it. This of course will pick up any adjacent reporded programs on the same channel and even those which were not back to back.
I don't know if I'm missing it or if it simply can't do it. Using HIP with an MCE remote, the HIP option is checked for "load on startup," and it does, but then I have to manually press the "run" button on its main screen and then manually minimize it.
Can HIP auto-run and auto-minimize itself after auto-starting?
