  Turn Off Computer After Recording.
Posted by: JBohanan - 2008-01-30, 08:05 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

It will be helpfull If you had the Option to Turn off the Computer after
you recorded a Program.

I see you can Turn Off the computer from one of your Menu options.

If you had this option to pick after you pick a group of program to
record from the TV Guide.

Thank you
Jim

  Problem with Digital Signal
Posted by: JBohanan - 2008-01-30, 07:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am using the PVR-1600 Digital/Analog Card I have setup the
Analog signal's from Cable and they Look good. But I have try to setup
the Digital Signal and I only able to get One Channel to display with
Gb-pvr and that channel will only play for about 5 - 10 min. and then
Gb-pvr will lockup. In Live TV.

I have used win-TV and was able to get 4 Channels to Display.
But the Remote & Keyboard is very show to change.

My system:
============
Celeron (D) 2.2GHz
1.2GB Ram - Xp-Pro
300Mb Drive
nVidia - GeForce FX5500 with 256K of memory

Changing # of recordings to keep
Posted by: philly_phenom - 2008-01-30, 07:20 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Is there a way to change the number of recordings for GBPVR to keep w/o deleting the job & re-creating it?

  No sound when schedule recording.
Posted by: Skel - 2008-01-30, 07:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

When i set GB-PVR to record at a certain time, it records fine but has no sound.

I record it by finding it on the TV Guide part and clicking it, then clicking record.

Im using the Haupage WinTv Nova T-500.

It would be great if i sort this out.

Thanks. Smile

  3 SearchWiz Problems
Posted by: fine2ning - 2008-01-30, 06:59 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (8)

I'm using SearchWiz v1.08 on GBPVR v1.016.
I have 3 problems with it:
1. Whenever I temporarily remove the hardrive containing my recordings, then reinstall it, it can't find the original folders or recordings, so I can't play anything anymore through GBPVR. How do I fix that?

2. Whenever I use SearchWiz to Edit a search or Select a search and press 'OK' it exits to the Main Menu 2 levels instead of back to the previous SearchWiz menu. How do I fix that?

3. Whenever I have to update my TV Listings, I have to redo all my searches which is a hassle. Is there a way to have GBPVR do all my searches at once automatically?

Searching For Solutions

  Check signal strength
Posted by: pbb - 2008-01-30, 05:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I thought I remembered seeing something in a previous post about a way to check signal strength on a tv channel by pressing a combination of keys while watching the channel on my pc with gbpvr. Does this sound familiar to anyone? If so what is the key combo?

  Moving recordings to new PC/install
Posted by: jonm - 2008-01-30, 04:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I'm going to build a new PC for GBPVR tomorrow and was just wondering what
I need to do to move my recordings across? I'll be re-installing everything
on completely new hardware - I can copy the directory structure and
all the recordings but what else do I need to copy/change so that GBPVR knows where everything is?

Thanks,

Jon.
PS hope this isn't a FAQ!

What Music player do you use with PVRX2?

How many have installed a plugin music player? How many go with the default? How many don't use music on PVRX2?

What are these UK Freeview Audio #2 channels ????
Posted by: AnthoNYC - 2008-01-30, 04:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have the Freecom DVB-T stick and have pulled in all my channels. Most are working fine but BBC, ITV, C4, & FIVE all show up with secondary 'audio #2' channels.

E.g.
BBC ONE
BBC ONE (Audio #2)

Where this occurs, the EPG data is only available for the Audio #2 channels. In fact my guide starts at channel 16 (QVC) whereas BBC ONE is channel 1 but is not in the EPG.

Do I have to do something in the EPG Mapping screen?

Cheers,
Anthony

Using and waking from standby (S3)
Posted by: carpeVideo - 2008-01-30, 03:03 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Saw this great post on using standby / sleep issues when trying to use S3 standby. For those not in the know typically windows uses S1 standby which saves almost no power, but there is an S3 state which saves considerably more. It just can be difficult with PVRs.

How to use S3 standby states when you need your computer to be ALWAYS ON:
