  Wiki Editing
Posted by: Ommina - 2008-01-21, 06:09 AM - Forum: Forum Issues & Documentation - Replies (8)

Hello documentationy-types!

I'm not sure if blader_se is back yet, and it was suggested that I post a message here to see if one of you were able to set me up with edit abilities on the wiki. So, here I am, posting a message here to see if one of you are able to set me up with edit abilities on the wiki. And if you happen to have an introductory course in wiki editing nearby... well, that'd be a treat too.

No rush - I've been delaying starting on the documentation for my wee baby plugin for a month now. I'm happy to delay it longer yet. /cough

Thanks!

  ATI Trouble
Posted by: debbie - 2008-01-21, 04:20 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (7)

Wow, what a nubie I am! Here's what's going on. I have an ATI 650 Theater card. (I know better now, but maybe...), and the tv freezes the whole computer up. It is a hard freeze and I have to restart the computer. I have bitc**d a blue streak at ATI until they replaced it with another one. Well, two days in, it freezes again. This tells me that it has to be a problem with my computer. I have all the drivers for the card and for my computer. I have integrated video, but this is a gaming system, and I don't game. I just try to watch tv while checking my email! Here is my mobo http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/ch...es/p4m800_pro/.
Will different software (third party) solve my problem, maybe? I hope you can help me. PS- my husband says I tore it up watching Desperate Housewives!

I posted this on the wrong category a while ago. I'm sorry!

Enhanced Web Admin (EWA) Build 72 Released
Posted by: UncleJohnsBand - 2008-01-21, 04:03 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - No Replies

Build 72 of EWA has been released. You can download it here or on the wiki.

This upgrade requires GBPVR 99.12 or higher to work.

Post any issues in the EWA Support Sub-Forum.

Date: 2008-01-20 Build Number: 72 Changes:

  • UncleJohnsBand: Correct issue with theme not always displaying when accessing the login screen.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added select All and None options to Manage Recordings filter.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Search processing has been totally re-written to improve performance and handle large EPG's.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Changes only in CSS based pages:
    • Add MP3 and WMA music tags as hover text in Music Library.
    • Updated Guide grid lines for the Blue and Default themes so they are visible.
    • Updated Guide to correctly place programmes when the first programme for the time period starts later that the startime of the time period.
    • Updated Manage Recordings and Search Result so that the programme description area scrolls if necessary.
    • Correct treeview display issue that was causing a display offset in entries that had more than one recording under them.
    • Correct treeview problem that caused shows to not be grouped together when sorting by title.
    • Correct treeview not displaying the correct channel name for programmes.

  • UncleJohnsBand: CSS General Notes:
    • CSS Note: To access CSS based screens use guide2.aspx as your start page.
    • CSS Note: CSS screens are coded in strict standards mode. This will make future updates easier and provides the best cross-browser (Firefox / IE) compatibility. However, this also means that the CSS sceens will only be fully supported by IE 7 and FireFox. Some screens will not work correctly in IE6. Sorry.
    • CSS Note: CSS screens are optimized for screens with 1024x768 resolution or higher. Lower resolution will just cause more scrolling on some screens.
    • CSS Note: Please post feedback/bugs in the EWA CSS Guide sticky thread located in the EWA support forum.

  MovieWiz
Posted by: psycik - 2008-01-21, 03:43 AM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (9)

Hi, just installed it on my dev machine. Very nice Been missing a movie based plugin since reven left.

Wondering if some of the following are on the road map:

  • Multiple directories for videos - this is one of the big advantages of a db based system (why I did it for my music player)
  • TV Episode looked - any chance of this? Although I like that you've implemented a manual way of updating the db.

I hope to add this to my system to take care of my Movie playing needs. Keep up the good work.

  ATSC tuning and mapping.
Posted by: hondaman - 2008-01-21, 02:42 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

I use schedules direct for my listing. I have a hvr-1800 capture card. I have setup the svid from my stb, and its working fine. I now am trying to add the atsc ota channels via an antenna.

I added the source, and scanned for channels. Now I dont know what to do. I guess I'm supposed to map the channels it found to channels in the guide? The problem is there are ~500 channels, and no way to sort/search them in the interface. Am I missing something, or is this just an all day job trying to:

a) figure out what the channel is that was scanned and then to
b) find it in the list of 500 channels, of which i cant find a way to sort or make sense of.

Please help!

  No volume and mute control
Posted by: Warrenpettit - 2008-01-21, 01:50 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Running GBPVR 1.1.5. Using the default irremote.ini file. Have hvr-1600 installed and using the supplied remote. PC is connected to the TV via an hmdi cable.

Volume up, volume down, have no affect. Does show the indicator that the volume is increasing or decreasing and does display MUTE but there is no affect on the sound. I modified the irremote.ini and specified:

MUTE={app(0x80000)}
VOLUP={app(0xa0000)}
VOLDOWN={app(0x90000)}

but that had no affect either.

If I run the Hauppauge WinTV application, volume control and mute from the remote works.

Any plans on adding this? Or should I start developing a plugin?

  A couple random questions.
Posted by: hondaman - 2008-01-21, 12:53 AM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (1)

First, I have my movies on my hdd's categorized by type: divx/xvid, dvd, and hd

I would like to keep them in those respective categories if possible. Is it possible?

Second, I can only see the plugin in pvrx2, not in the gb-pvr. Did I do something wrong or does it just not work with gb-pvr?

Thanks for the plugin btw. Very nice.
