Is there a way with the dongle that comes with GBPVR is there a way to jump forward in the show? Like I know when I used the other dongle with a Myth TV box I was able to jump to points like 10% or 40% in the show? Is there a way to do that with GBPVR?
I'm currently using a Diamond XtremeTX PVR660 (USB) for my recordings but am not very happy with the video quality. Since I have a new computer (to replace the laptop) with internal PCI and PCI express slots I don't need a USB device. What seems to be the best device now for video quality? I'm thinking HD for the future would be a nice option.
I should also ask what the recommended video card is as well...
I have configured the gbpvr server system and I am trying to establish gbpvr clients. I can play the .mpg on the server but only get sound when trying to play on the clients.
I tried playing the mpg file direct with wmp and get a C00D11B1 error.
Not sure where to start looking.
Attached are the lgbpvr log files created when trying to play the mpg file

To wire this up to his GBPVR setup I brought a DVI to HDMI cable to connect his Nvidia 6200 to the tele. The picture is excellent however there is no sound. I assumed that I could take the audio out from the motherboard and route that into the TV by its audio inputs. Unfortunately this does not work. Is it possible to get a cable that is HDMI at one end and then DVI audio in at the other?
A second option may be to buy an ATI 2400PRO. Would this then just need a HDMI cable to from the PC to the tele and this cabel would carry both video and sound. Finally has anbody replaced a Nvidia 6200 with such a graphics card and did it improve the quality of the TV out.
The GBPVR system plays back SD only. DVB-T (freeview)
I was using Video Archive with DVD Decrypter to back up DVDs. I went into DVD Decrypter once to check stuff out, and since then, I haven't been able to back up my DVDs.
Video Archive fires up DVD decrypter, then gets focus again. I see Video Archive say Step 1, then it flashes through steps 2 and 3 and then acts like it is done, but nothing's been done. I haven't seen a log for DVD decrypter, so I don't know what's happening.
These DVDs are ISOs (I want to convert them to MPGs.) If I use a real DVD it seems to work.
I was using the ISOs with CD Daemon. Is there a way I can manually run through the process, WITHOUT Video Archive, to get these to MPGs? I can't find directions for DVD Decrypter.
I am running GBPVR 1.1.5 and the most current download of ZProcess2 from wiki. I have completely reinstalled gbpvr and zprocess to the default paths and installed all zprocess and gbpvr requirements. GBPVR runs fine and transcodes all files but the aspect ratio is bad so I decided to try zprocess.
I am outputting to a MVP connected to a NTSC widescreen tv.
When I try to transcode a video manually using the zprocess interface, the process starts and then stops, producing a 0 kb file. When I try through the MVP, first it causes a reboot, and then each successive attempt only brings me to the video menu after 5 seconds.
I have mencoder installed to the default c:\program files\mplayer directory. Additionally, the zprocess wiki page states the zprocess2.zip contains a new version of Trans2MVP.exe however the file downloaded does not contain this and I am using the version installed with gbpvr. Attached are all the relevant logs, if more are needed please let me know.
First off I would like to say that GB-PVR is a slammin' program. One of the best PVRs out there! Now to the question:
My children love the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, but my regular comskip, which works perfectly for all the basic channels, does NOT work with Disney Channel or Nickelodeon. I have tried logo detection, with the logo detected perfectly, but after I try to set it up for those two channels, it still doesn't work. So then I tried to use ALL methods (255) on those two channels but to no avail. Would anyone have any comskip INI file that could work with these two channels. Personally, I think that these channels have no intentions to protect their channels by making commericials hard to detect. The majority of the ads on these channels are ONLY PROMOS, so I think that it can't be that hard to detect. I appreciate your taking the time out of your daily life to read this article.
