I have installed the drivers because it said that it worked with media center so I thought maybe it had bda drivers something similar to hdhomerun.
I ran filter check, But I'm not sure what to make of it, can someone more experienced look at it
However, when I change to those settings, I am clearly getting dropped frames. I noticed the "server" is using VLC to stream to my client, also using vlc. VLC on the server is using 50% cpu, but it never seems to go above that. That is peculiar, especially in light of the poor performance/dropped frames.
Can someone help me see the light (and a better streamed tv )
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com has a free ZC Video Converter today. It's the first true free one-click converter that I've seen. I've been looking for one to convert DVD files to mpeg2 to watch on my MVP. I though I'd found one with this since the conversions look and sound great on the PC. Videos look good on the MVP too, but no sound. I tried both the mp2 and ac3 options, but still no sound. Any suggestions on how to stream the sound?
I have used GBPVR (version .98 i believe) and my MediaMVP about a year ago with my current hardware:
PVR-350
Radeon 7000 Video
Wireless MediaMVP
All parts of GBPVR worked fine then. Since then I have moved to a bigger system harddrive so I installed the newest version of GBPVR. Now my MVP brings up the GBPVR menu and lets me look at the guide and still pictures but will not playback any streaming media, like MP3s, previous recording, videos or live tv.
I have a MCE remote, and a directv stb hooked to my hvr-1800 via svid. The problem is the remote isnt changing the channel. The ir light blinks when I select a channel, but nothing happens.
I have issues with my (new) Ati Radeon and Powerdvd 7. latest de luxe.
Like i stated elsewhere i did put in a new Abit-An-M2HD mobo. Since I wanted a real good image I disengaged the onboard video and used the Radeon.
But when I play a HD-DVD (have no blu ray player yet)I hear sound in powerdvd, no image and then it freezes. (I have no alternative, there's no other HD-DVD software player). So I turn of my Radeon, engage the onboard Nvidia video and it works (till this morning, now there's no HDMI output any more). I will RMA the mobo, sell it then, will get a proper HD sound card (Club 3d Theatron Agrippa DTS 7.1) and a MOST SIMPLE AM2 mobo with no onboard shit! (sound nor graphics).
Question remains:
Any known issues between powerdvd and the Radeon HD3850?
When starting PVRX2 I keep getting a 'GBPVR Status' popup screen I haven't seen before. The only thing I changed recently was installing the ExternalDisplay Plugin.
Has anybody ever seen this popup - and how do I disable it ?
I'm very interested in using the MVPMC dongle but, I would like to know what functionalities would be missing if I were to do this? Can I still schedule recordings, view the guide, access the video library, play recordings (not by sharing the recording directory)?
