I cant find the right values in the xml to change the positions of the background frames. As you can see from this image they are all a bit wonky on the page for community 3 and my specific choices. I need to change the dvd label and main 3 boxes to be more in line on the page and the same width, and the menu to be a little lower on the left side.
So there I was happily watching a show on History channel when suddenly I'm bounced back to the main menu. "That's odd" methinks.
I select the Live TV option again only to be told that my tuner is in use recording a show and that I can either not watch TV or watch the recording.
At the risk of yet another "my TiVo does ..." complaint, why can't I be told via a screen overlay that my Live TV session is about to be stopped because GBPVR wants to record something say, 2 minutes before the recording would start?
Better yet why can't I be offered the option of canceling the upcoming recording in favour of the Live TV session?
Sub: I still have a live TiVo of you'd like to mess with it for some ideas/comparison. It's connected to my Slingbox so you can play over the web.
OK, Please use small words, I am trying to have it start in emulation mode. I added the network share directory as on the wiki. The folder is c:/mvpmc. I then am kind of lost. How do I make a dongle.bin.config file? Is this just a text file? I copied "mvpmc --startup emulate --emulate ? &" into notepad and then named the file dongle.bin.config, but I am sure it is wrong because it really is named dongle.bin.config.txt
I have been playing with a couple of custom capture settings with constant bitrates and was I ever surprised to see how good the picture quality is recording an HD channel via the s-video connection of my 3350HD. Watching the recording after and the PQ was incredible. It wasn't quite as bright and crisp as true HD but better than anything I have ever recorded in PVRX2.
I've noticed that Mediaportal has the ability to record back to back shows on the same channel on one tuner card with the pre/post padding intact. Example, SVU 8:25 to 9:35 (includes 5 minute pre and post padding), Law & Order 9:25 to 10:35 on Channel 3. The one tuner would handle the reception of both programs but the application knows to start saving Law & Order at 9:25 to a new second file while still saving SVU to the first file until 9:35.
Right now with GBPVR I need to have a second tuner card to ensure that I keep the pre/post padding.
Hi,
My USB NIC does not seem to support WOL (most dont apparently).
My server does have a PCI Card that does support this however, but I cannot use this card for streaming to the MVP (problems with stuttering due to the powerline adapters).
Is there anyway I can issue the WOL to my NIC card (MAC Addr1) but use my USB NIC for everything else (MAC Addr2)?
HI Folks,
Can anyone recommend a theme that is low on bright white colours ?
I am trying to find one for gb pvr that would minimise any chances of screen retention / burn.
Hi currently I have to run at 1280 at 720 to get 50hz, but viewing at this causes a bit of the screen to get cut off on each side, anyone know a way around this?
Or is there a setting in the config of GBPVR to reduce the screen slightly.
PS the screen doest get chopped at 60hz but I get panning blur
Well I finally got my HVR-1600 to pull QAM from my cable company (Cox). I had to do an "all countries" scan which took about 8 hours But I now have all 3 big networks, FOX, several PBS and a few local channels.
My question is which MUX is best to use. I know this is an opinion kind of thing but I'm interested in what is working best for everyone. There was also talk at one time about demux's. I haven't been able to do anything with that as I have no demux's loaded.
If you have your HVR-1600 working really well, I'd love to know your MUX and decorder configuration.
I just loaded the New gbpvr program onto my media PC and I get this Error Message" Application failed to initialize properly" any ideas or suggestions?
