  How to set up a Creatix SAA7134, Hybrid Capture Device
Posted by: wstwoodside - 2008-01-08, 07:15 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (21)

Can you help please?

I have the above digital tv card but GB-PVR reports it can't find the card.
The card works using the original Cyberlink Powercinema 4 but this program is unreliable (eg won't do a scheduled recording, poor controls)

My tuner doesn't appear on the default list of GB-PVR config.
I've used graphedit to find the filters and entered these into the BDA file:

[Creatix SAA7134, Hybrid Capture Device]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=Creatix BDA Digital Capture
FILTER_CAPTURE=Creatix BDA DVBT Tuner
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I get the message: Failed to locate the configured BDA capture device.
Since it works with Powercinema wwhat do you suggest please?

  Twinhan 1027 help!
Posted by: kainat - 2008-01-08, 03:45 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

I m trying to setup working with bev. I can do the scan and a lot of channels are found (no preview). When I goto live TV I get a black screen and it says that No Signal detected.

I have tried it in MT and it works great. I am using emunation 3.0.0.9. I have updated the 1027 drivers and my video card drivers (Geforce 8400gs).

I also have installed many mpeg2 filters but nothing seems to work. I have looked through the forum to see if anyone else was having the same issues, but I think that I have tried them all.

Can someone please help me get this up and running. I would really prefer to use GBPVR over anything else.

Thanks

  "This time slot" not working
Posted by: drbenjamin - 2008-01-08, 03:42 AM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (5)

Hi All

I've been using EWA for a while now, it's a great add on. I recently decided to try recording the 5-6 news show so I could watch it w/o commercials. Unfortunately, when I try to do so (by ticking the "this time slot" and "any day" boxes), EWA shows that all episodes of the news are scheduled for recording, which is a lot given that this is an all news channel Big Grin

Any ideas what may be going wrong? I can succesfully use the "this time slot" on other shows, it jsut seems to be this news show that throws it.

TIA!

D

  Music Library problems with v1.1.5
Posted by: slimus - 2008-01-07, 11:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have just upgraded to v1.1.15 from 1.0.16. When in Music Library the Play All will just play the first song in the folder then stop. I went to the v1.1.15 survival guide and downloaded the patch for this but it did not work for me. I have the same problem on both my computers runnung v1.1.15. Downgrading them to 1.0.16 fixes both but I lose the Net Radio. Wondering if anybody has any other suggestions.

  Sound but no picture.
Posted by: Slinwagh - 2008-01-07, 10:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

I have just installed GBPVR and all was well, I scanned for channels and they were detected.

The problem I have is that I only get sound and no picture. There is no issue with the aerial because I can plug it into a freeview box and watch the same channels that GBPVR is struggling with.

I have attached the logs, thanks !!!

  SPDIF motherboard header
Posted by: fluffykeith - 2008-01-07, 07:56 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (15)

Hi

I read somewhere on the internet (like one does!!) that the SPDIF header on the motherboard - I have a gigabyte MB - can connect directly to the amp coax in.

I've wired it up but before I plug it in and try it I wonder if anyone one can confirm as there is not much info out there and very few bits to connect to the header either.

cheers

keith

  A remote control application
Posted by: exponent - 2008-01-07, 06:39 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

My requirement is pretty simple. I have a Viewsat 9000 FTA satellite receiver. It has built in recording capabilities but no scheduling. This means you have to be present to start and stop recording of a show which kind of defeats the purpose of PVR. I have been able to capture the codes that the remote control for the 9000 uses and I am think of buying a USB-UIRT to send codes to the 9000. The last piece I need is something that can schedule a time to send codes to my satellite receiver. What would be needed it to change the channel, send the record code and when the show is over send the stop command. I would need to be able to do it one time for things like movies and on a recurring basis for things like weekly shows. It would be nice to have some kind of an easy to use interface. The computer wouldn't record anything, it will all go to the USB drive attached to the sat box, the PC is just being used for scheduling and control. Any comments as to whether gbpvr /USB-UIRT can be used and if not what else I may to use would be appreciated.

  Movie wiz thumbnails
Posted by: Dan. - 2008-01-07, 06:25 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (4)

I'm using movie wiz to control all films on my htpc. Sometimes I get the wrong image for movies.
When looking for movie details I allways get to choose from several options, but this is not the case with images. Is there any way I can force it to display image that I pick?
I tried to do that with the "create thumbnails" feature, but I couldn't understand how to work with it. Appreciate the help.
