is there a way to add a button in the program info screen to run a .bat file on it??
currently I close GBPVR, go to the recordings folder, and drag it onto the .bat, but I am looking for something easier.
I know I can modify post processing (I have already modified the hell out of it)
this is just for the occasion of wanting to process a show I thought was a good episode, and is not one of the ones processed automatically.
I upgraded about a month ago and now gbpvr crashes frequently. I had no trouble before the upgrade. I read the survival guide and installed the hotfix listed but that made no obvious difference. I have the exact same plugins that I was using on the previous version if that matters. (comskip and the one that puts more info on the guide). Along with the upgrade I am now using schedules direct for my guide info. When gbpvr crashes, windows closes the program and I have to re-open it. I can't pin-point a certain action that causes it. Sometimes it crashes when a recording starts (program keeps recording) but other times I just hit the "back" button to see the main menu from watching live TV. TIA for the help and let me know if you need more info. I've attached the log files as well.

After getting the EPG to work (with a lot of help), today I attempted to record 2 programs. The program went through the motions and even created file with the program names. However it will not play the programs and the files seem too small to have recorded one hour. Please someone let me know what to do.
I currently have one Hauppauge MCE500 (two analog tuners). I am considering buying an HDHomeRun (two digital ATSC tuners).
Are there any problems having both analog and digital tuners installed at the same time?
What happens if you have two programs being recorded and you are watching live TV at the same time. If you change channels does it just skip the channels that are not available because the tuners are busy or does it give you a message box or does it not allow you to watch any TV because some of the channels are not available?
Right now I just get a message box telling me that I can't watch live TV unless I cancel one of the recordings. Can anyone give me the low down on how this works? Thanks.
I have my gbpvr setup working just about perfectly except for one issue:
-Some HD channels appear to have a lower frame rate, especially during sporting events.
Now I know it could be a horsepower issue with my machine. But, other channels are just fine in HD, smooth as can be. So I was wondering, and I may be completely off base here, but is it possible the cable company is recompressing or dropping frames on the QAM source? Perhaps to save bandwidth? Perhaps this is a stupid thought but I thought I would throw it up there and see if anyone had any info on this...
I seem to be noticing a bug in the log rolling. Usually, when the logs roll, the file gets renamed from ttt.log to ttt-1.log. But I notice that any logs that have pvrx2 in the log name, roll right over to -3.log. This means I only get 1 rollover.
Fla, when you get a chance, you might want to check out the RecordingUtils.dll file and see if AdjustEndTime is being used correctly. In the PriorityRecordings.xml file there are two optional tags under the Padding element called AdjustStartTime and AdjustEndTime, these elements allow for the program start and end times to be adjusted to get around scheduling conflicts. typical situation is to schedule a program from 9:00pm to 10:01pm, so that if another program starts at 10:00 on a competing station the program isn't scheduled.
The AdjustStartTime element seems to be working correctly in that if their is a conflict it will correctly adjust the start time by the time of the program in conflict (i.e. lower priority recording) to get around the confict (i.e adjust the start time of the program to 10:01pm).
AdjustEndTime is supposed to adjust the end time by the time specified if it is included. So if a -1 is specified it should subtract 1 from the end time of the program to get around the conflict. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work in the version that I'm using. AdjustStartTime is working so I can use that, but the original intent was to give the flexibility to the user to control and work around these weird scheduling issues that the networks play.
I use Girder and the send message plugin to control GBPVR. I remember a post from a few months back that had the current message numbers for PVRX2, but cannot find it. Can someone point me in the right direction?
How do you tune channel frequencies now? I tried going the old wintv2k and freqimport tool and it blew up all my channels. I got them back, but would still like to adjust one.
