Try to figure this out. I just went from Windows2000 to windowsXP, so now I have installed GBPVR again. I have been using tvxb to grap the epg. This only worked if my channel number ordering was the same as the ordering in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune
However in the WindowsXP registry this key does not exist.
Can anyone give me a hint to why it is not present, and what to do to get it back,
Alternativly if there is any other danes out there. I would appreciate if you could tell me how and where you grab the the EPG. I am not sure if I found the best method
When I am watching a recording, if I press either FF button, occasionally the audio and video freeze. Sometimes the video continues playing and the audio stops. Sometimes the audio and video both skip.
I am using the Cyberlink PowerDVD 6 decoders for both video and audio.
I have also slicked my HD and reinstalled everything, and I had the problem before and now after reinstalling everything.
No logs to go with it, but just thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone had any ideas or suggestions.
As part of trying to figure out how to make my plug-in start up faster I've added some logging to my Activate method. When I look at the logs I see that when I click on my plug-in the main menu it is activated twice. The first activate is fast but the second one takes a long time to complete, probably because I have kicked off background tasks that are now using up CPU time. My question is, is there a bug that is calling Activate twice?
I am attaching several days of logs. I need some help understanding them.
The problem that I am trying to fix is; the computer will not wake from standby to record shows. If we keep it active it records perfectly. I dropped the 'nativeutilities.dll' in the GBPVR folder, but this does not seem to be the problem.
To me, it looks like the program is doing fine until it reaches a 'Audio Firmware Version <<can't read now>>' line.
I'd like to record all episodes of American Chopper, but our cable company changes the title per each episode (e.g. American Chopper Dixie bike, American Chopper race bike, etc). Each title contains "American Chopper" so this could be used as a filter to record all episodes.
Would it be possible to add a wildcard function for recurring recordings so some part of the text can be fixed and another part wildcarded?
E.g. by selecting the fixed text using the remote and placing it between brackets, e.g. "[American Chopper] dixie bike".
The TV Guide used to set the view back to the current time after you exit to main menu and return back to the guide.
In the new one, if you search a few days ahead, then exit and go back in, the guide is still sitting at a few days ahead.
I am going to upgrade our PVR so that we can stream to our living room. We moved recently and our computer used to be in our bedroom but now it is in an office which means we have to burn DVDs to watch or sit in the office. Our computer is currently our only way to record.
In any case, is it possible to use an IR blaster with an MVP? What I would like to do is move the cable box into the office with the computer and then control the whole thing via the MVP. How about performance? Our computer is a P4 with 1Gb of ram. GBPVR runs very well on it.
Or would I be better off just getting a second machine for the living room?
I just purchased and installed an HDHomeRun to go along with the FusionHD card that I already had in my system. I can watch live TV from the HDHomeRun just fine, but it appears that any recordings that are atttempted on the HDHomeRun result in a filesize of only 4k. While the show is recording, the HDHomeRun's streaming indicator light is on. Recordings from the FusionHD card (recording at the same time as the HDHomeRun) work OK.
I seem to remember reading a message in the support forum about recordings that were only 4k in size, however the forum software does not permit searches on short words and I have not been able to find the original post.
I have a Hauppauge PVR-150 connected to analog cable. I recently got a digital cable box from Comcast which I'd like to hook up through the composite input on the 150. Does anyone know if I'll be able to source both the analog cable input and the composite input at the same time, effectively having two available tuners?
