I'm working on a dvd burner plugin for PVRX2 and I want to get the recording description for the DVD title menu. Any example code of getting the description from the database?
sorry to take you back to the stone ages for this question, but here goes: i'm not sure how to install the patches i see on the 1.00.16 survival guide. i'm trying to get schedule direct to work with my new install (had v99 going good w/ zip2it), but when i download the patch i think i should be copying to the gbpvr subdirectory, but i am not allowed. any help with a greenie. thanks
Could a screen scraper be made to copy my caloric intake and expenditure from the free http://www.fitday.com and put into a spreadsheet with a formula to find the caloric deficit per day then add them up per month or so? I did one manually then I thought, hey maybe a genius could help me make it a little easier. :o
Is ATSC support implemented in a new way in the latest release. In the pre-1.0 versions I was able to move smoothly from HD stations to SD stations while in LiveTV, just by going up or down through the channels. Now when it attempts to transition from an SD station to an HD station (or vice versa) it freezes and I have to restart the recording service before I can tune anything.
Also, as soon as I upgraded I started loosing my ATSC stations periodically and having to rescan for them, signal strength seemed to decrease significantly, and two stations can no longer be tuned at all. When I tune the stations directly through my tv I don't have any problems.
Is anyone else having these issues or is something strange happening with my setup? Any suggestions for solutions? I am away from home right now, but should be back in about 3 hours.
Now that Zap2It's free service is gone, I decided to dload the latest GBPVR and was hoping it had a replacement for Zap2It. In GB's config utility I saw the latest list of EPG choices. Since I already have a Vista Ultimate PC, I figured the MceEpg2XmlTv would be a great choice...
So I downloaded the latest MceEpg2XmlTv (0915) installer and ran setup.exe on my Vista PC, which has 2 working TV tuner cards. When I try to run setup, it first complains of a security issue, which I assume is just typical of Vista. So I click on the security dialog's [Continue] button and the installer continues. But the thermometer bar only gets to about 50% and stalls. The installers's dialog window's controls are still active, as I can click on [Install] again, change the default folder etc.
Any advice? Any prerequisites that I might be missing?
GBPVR will be running on a different PC (XP Pro) with a PVR150 tuner. I'm hoping that MceEpg2XmlTv will be able to save it Xml epg listings across my network to the target PC running GB...
Jeff, I just upgraded to 1.0.16 today and installed the beta test version of VA from the wiki. VA is working fine on my PC, but when I try to access it on the MVP, the MVP reboots. Below are the last few lines from MVP-PVRX2.exe:
Code:

Any thoughts? If more logs are needed, I'll send 'em right away.
Thanks
Edit: Hmmm...VA is not working fine on the PC after all. I can at least open the plugin (unlike on the MVP), but the list of files is not working right. Only the "What's New" shows up. When I press F11 to re-scan, items show up and disappear. If I try to click on one, it disappears when clicked on. After just a few seconds, the list is empty again.
This may have been posted earlier but I didn't see it...
