I'm in the process of upgrading from GBPVR v0.99.12 w/ Zap2It to v1.0.16 w/ SchedulesDirect. SchedulesDirect is providing bad HTML entities in its guide data, and GBPVR v1.0.16 throws an exception on the first such error encountered. The net result is that I am unable to load guide data into GBPVR using the in-built SchedulesDirect guide capability.
I have updated GBPVR with the patches included in the v1.0.16 survival guide thread.
The specific error message thrown by GBPVR is:
Code:
Error UpdateEPG()'ing: System.Xml.XmlException: An error occurred while parsing EntityName. Line 28340, position 12.

Line 28340 of the guide data file is:
Code:
<surname>O&se.</surname>
Additionally, other malformed entities also exist in the file about a dozen additional times:
Code:
<role>The Morning Show With Mike &am</role>
Is it possible to either:
Update GBPVR to gracefully handle malformed HTML entities and continue to load the guide data?
Run a batch file (e.g., which calls HTML Tidy) in between when the guide data is downloaded from SchedulesDirect and actually loaded by GBVPR?
I used the Yapi2xml to replace my Zap2it when I recently upgraded my GBPVR. The new GBPVR is awesome and I'm in love. I am not too hot on paying SchedulesDirect $60 per year for the EPG. I had the Yahoo utility working fine but a few of the channels in the Channels tab in the Config utility were out of order/messed up/duplicated. I removed all of my tuners and cleared the EPG and now I can't get rid of a few of the channels. They seem stuck and I dont know where or how I can remove them. Also, through my attempts, now Yapi2xml doesn't work at all(it keeps giving me an error for Missing/Corrupt schedules file) The schedules file appears to have a size of 0kb. Any info on using this utility and/or cleaning up the Channels tab so that the channels show properly in my EPG should I ever get Yapi to work? I've also used the Zap2xml utility and this one seems to work fine(although they don't list NEARLY as much info in the descriptions), but the channels are still there and I can't seem to get everything in order.
Have just notices that my Cinema listings and CSkin plug-ins based on the BaseButtonListUiTask class do not return a task image even though the base class seems to define a getTaskImage() method. Is it implemented?
While in Vista, more than half the time after boot up, the GBPVR icon will not show in the tray. It is active and does show in the startup but it just doesn't always show where it should. I don't have this problem with any other icon and it doesn't matter whether I have it set to hide when inactive or not.
Anyone else in Vista experiencing this?
I can't seem to get gamezone working. I'm new to gbpvr and am not quite sure how to do the plugins. They look simple but I messed something up. Here's what I did.
I downloaded and installed the exe. It installed to the gbpvr, not plugins.
I copied the dll to the plugins folder. Do I need to create a game zone folder in the plugins also?
Next I ran the psxe install file. I saw on here some guy had to set the up also to run gamezone.
I copied the bin file to the bios folder in gamezone, still nothing.
I get nothing when I run config or pvrx2. What am I doing wrong? Is everything installed where it should be? Do I need to create folders somewhere? I appreciate the help. Btw, I'm trying to use znes for super nintendo. Thanks for any ideas!
I want to copy a file from the gbpvr directory to the folder for the just finished recording using a postprocessing.bat file. I also want to rename the file to mirror the recording name. I know this is simple but I can't get it to work. Here is the postprocessing.bat file I currently have...any ideas? Also, do I need to change any settings to use the postprocessing.bat file or is it automatic as long as the file exists in the gbpvr folder?
Some release ago I had the option to convert DVR-MS files to MPEG2 files in the video library. The DVR-MS files are created with Mediaportal, since GB-PVR doesn't support CAM's. I haven't used this option in a while, but today I couldn't find it anymore. I have the cyberlink mux installed (it shows up in the muxchecker). How can I get this transcode option back in the Video Library and shouldn't this option be available in a fresh install of GB-PVR? I've searched the forum, because I'm sure I've seen this question before, but I can't find it.
currently trying to install the package on my vista system tried both 1.0008 and 1.00016 same error of "psiparser.ax failed to register". any help would be appreciated.
Will back to back shows let the first show go the extra three mins, or will show 2 kick out the 1st show 1 minute before the start of show 2 (i.e. 4 mins before when post would have taken it, if there was no second show)?
If pre wins over post, can I define a -ve pre? (tried it but doesn't seem to work).
The reason I ask is the silly site from where I scrape my EPG shows games (that in reality have a kick-off starting on the hour), as starting at 1/4 to the hour, finishing 1/4 to the hour. When queried they said to catch the introductions of the teams at the start of each show.
So games that are 40mins each way + 10 half time (plus say extra 10 mins for stoppage)=100 mins total. Say kick off =14:00, so game is expected to "actually" end 1:40 later=15:40. But recording starts at 13:45, so if the game is marginally late, I miss the end, which is what happened. grrrr.
I guess as a wish, I'd like to see an option for force post-show preeedence....
