I am using LAV Decoders for all video and audio formats and EVR renderer. I am playing an H264 MP4 video file with an associated SRT file. Subtitles are chunky/blocky. Where can I find settings to change/improve the font ?
The same subtitles look great when using the Windows Films & TV player or VLC.
I refreshed my Windows 8.1 PC recently and I reinstalled NextPVR on it and now not only I can't record anything from my HDHomerun, I can't even watch anything from it. IPTV still works fine tho. Attached are the logs. Great program either way, sub. Cheers
1. pvr.nextpvr Kodi native client
2. knewc UI client in Kodi
3. Android Live Channels
4. Sub's Android client
I find that even with all these newer choices sub's original NextPVR UI still looks pretty good.
Of note I show how to work around the issue with recordings in sub's Android client, using a remote with mouse to give focus to the recording list.
This is on the Tivo 4KStream Android TV box pretty much the cheapest client h/w there is right now. I used Kodi to launch Android app's but I could have gone back to the Android TV launcher.
I have noticed that recently my PC does not wake up from sleep to auto update the EPG.
I expected to find a scheduled task in Windows Task Scheduler but there is not any entry.
It is set in settings to update at 07:00 AM but it does not work anymore.essay writer
The EPG appears to update but only after the PC is woken by another task (usually Macrium Reflect to perform a backup).
It used to be so reliable, can anyone help me fix this short of a clean reinstall...
Many thanks
Bob

Retired Engineer "When was there any time for work?"
Hi, noobie so apols if I am asking a daft question, but I have searched for an answer with no joy.
I've just setup NextPVR (linux version) on a Raspberry Pi and want would like to save onto an attached Ext4-formatted USB disk which is fully mounted. Permissions all set to "anyone can access".
NextPVR will not record onto this as it says either access denied or permissions issues. I've tried everything I can think of. The only path that works is the one set by the installation which is on the Pi's SD card, which is no good as it does not have the capacity. have even tried copying permissions from this path onto the USB or saving to a network drive, but nothing works. Any thoughts welcome.
I just built myself a nice new shiny RPi4B and put the latest LibreElec v9.2.6, kodi v19, on it. But for some reason, I wasn't getting video, so the makers of LE suggested that I try the latest version LE v10, kodi v20. I now get video, but audio/video is way out of sync. In the past I used to purchase codec's to sync audio/video, but that is not an option with RPi4. Also, there used to be a settings option that would sync audio/video, but that option is gone. I am being told by both kodi forums and LE forums that because of using GBM windowing, the sync option is no longer available. Kodi forum told me that the reason for the lose of video/audio sync is because the stream is to hard to decode in real time.
Are they saying that the machine that I'm running NPVR on is to slow? Is there a setting in NPVR that I can changed for better performance?
I was watching a show with the NextPVR Roku test channel on my TV and then I hit the back arrow button to exit the show and the screen went black. I was able to recover by long press * button then selecting my other (Windows) server, then went back to my Linux server and the gui was normal again.
I posted the log in case you want to take a look. This event happened at the end of the log just before 20:00:00
My Fritzbox has 4 receivers which are all found by NextPVR.
My Problem is, that I can not record two channels at the same time, because my Fritzbox only allows one connection per IP Address at the same time.
On TVHeadend there is an option to assign different outgoing IP addresses for the handling of different receivers. The docker container has 4 outbound IP Addresses xxx.xxx.xxx.5 to xxx.xxx.xxx.8
So when addressing receiver A, NextPVR would have IP xxx.xxx.xxx.5, for receiver B it would use xxx.xxx.xxx.6 and so on.
Is this already possible, if not, were can I submit a change request.
Ok everyone. I have a strange one for you this time. I am using ver. 4 yea yea I know I should upgrade to ver 5. I have found that some of my channels the EPG is off be a couple or few hours. I have made the changes with my EPG program and know it is fixed when testing outside of Ver 4. I have found that the only way I can remedy it is to delete the channels and reimport them. Is there something I am missing within ver 4 to remedy this quicker?
Thank you for reading and your time.
