Often times when attempting to watch live tv I get a message saying there are no tuners available. I check and all tuners are idle. I have to restart the recording service to get it to allow me to watch live tv. In this time the service seems to be able to record scheduled events just fine.
FYI - I have 2 500's and 3 150's... I have never used all them at the same time.
hi,
I just got hauppauge 1600 card setup into my HTPC and have some issues.
I setup the cable line to run straight into the tv input on the card, and setup the EPG and what not, and it works fine (only thing i didnt like was it changes channels really slowly... anyway to speed that up?)
Anyways, that's step 1.
The issue now, is that I have a Rex-I receiver that I use to get some international channels, and I'm trying to get that to go through the HTPC. I removed the cable input wire, and put the output from the reciver to go straight into the TV input on the card. I kind of didnt really know where to go from there though, since the thing should stay on 1 channel, and i must change the channel on the satellite reciver itself to change channels, but I couldnt get any thing from the satellite reciever to show.
If anyone could help me that'd be great.
Also, one more note: my card came with a blaster and for channel changer I selected USB-URIT (I think thats what I'm supposed to use). I then click settings and get a new window, then click the new button so I can add anew profile for my reciver. It then crashes when I do that. Any ideas on that as well?
thanks
Did a search for this problem but couldn't find anything except a post from 2004 that didn't really get addressed at the time.
I just installed VA for the first time last night, it seemed to initialise OK and list all the recordings in both the GB recordings and the archive directories, however I don't seem to have an archive button anywhere. I don't want to auto archive anything, I just want to be able to choose a recording and hit a button, I get the impression that there should be one somewhere but I can't see it.
I installed the version on the wiki for 99.12 (which I am running), then tried the beta version for 1.08, just in case, but to no avail.
Hope this isn't a stupid question - thanks!
Update: I've just checked again tonight and a show that got recorded during the day has the archive button. I'm guessing it must be something to do with the age of the recording or missing information about it. Does this give anyone a clue?
I have noticed something strange when navigating the Video Library on 1.08
I have two folders containing video files with sub folders underneath. Under earlier versions of gbpvr and the standard interface with 1.08 it works as I expected
Press Enter to see the subfolders, press Enter on a subfolder name to see the files, press Enter to play them.
Then as you press Esc each time, the previous folder is displayed until you get back to the main gbpvr screen.
On 1.08 with pxvr2 it works strangely.
Press Enter on Video Library and I see the folders
Pressing a folder name shows the files underneath and selecting a file and pressing Enter causes it to be played.
So far so good. Then pressing esc during the play goes back to the list of files. Pressing esc again goes back to the folder names under the sub folder under Video Library (call this point [2]). But pressing esc again, instead of showing me the sub folders under Video Library goes back directly to the main menu.
When I get to playing file 2 and press esc I get
list of files
[sub 2]
Video Library (should be [folder 2]
Even more strangely, press Video Library from the main menu goes back to point [2] instead of the list of folders under Video Library. The only way to get back to that list is to scroll up to the .. directory entry and select thast.
Is it my setup or is this some strange behaviour in pxr2?
my cdk hardly records shows anymore. the log says that its alreay been recorded before. I have taken the check off in the config program that removes duplicate recordings. how can i clear out what shows have already been watched so that it will record some new "old" shows?
Hi, I'm using version 1.08, with the Delete Confirmation patch installed.
Many of my movies are in subdirectories under the main Video Library folder, e.g.:
E:\My Movies - main Video Library folder
E:\My Movies\Music Videos\DGLive\David Gilmour Live.avi
I often delete movies once I've watched them. When I navigate to a containing folder (e.g. ...\DGLive) and click Delete, I'm asked for confimation and when I click OK PVRX2 just hangs / stops responding and I need to cancel it in Task Manager. Doesn't appear to be any CPU or disk activity during the hang.
This happens even if I delete the .avi first (which works fine).
First let me say this is not a big deal but something I've been curious about. In XP, I can put my system to sleep and it will record and never wake and I've never had a problem. At first, I thought it actually woke to record and went back to sleep but I've watched and I see no activity. If it ain't broke, don't fix it right.
With Vista, sleep is suppose to be different. It is! It wakes and records but does not go back to sleep. Once again, no big deal but the curiosity in me wonders how is this an improvement if MS thinks this is? I've played with my settings and do have my BIOS set for both S1 & S3 and other than this 'challenge' my only other problem is that occassionally, coming out of sleep mode restarts my system.
Anyone have any ideas (even if you don't care about using sleep)?
