Is it possible to hide the file extension when browsing in Video Library? Its kind of annoying to have a file called "Fantastic Four.avi" show up exactly like that, it would be much nicer if it showed up as just "Fantastic Four".
Also the same in the Music Library -- if GBPVR can't find ID3 tags I know it shows the filename but it would be nice if it dropped the ".mp3" (as an option, perhaps?).
After using my PVR350 tv-out for a couple of years, I am trying to get the video-out of my videocard working smoothly (have to, because of the 1.0 version is not supporting the PVR350 tv-out anymore). Unfortunately, I still see some hickups from time to time.
My first question: is my hardware fast enough for smooth video play?
The hickups I see are barely visible, but they give me a headache; in scenes where the background is moving (a helicopter view of a landscape turning round; the Tour de France) it sometimes drops one or two frames. If I rewind, it still drops the frame(s) at (almost?) the same point. This does not happen when using the tv-out of the PVR350.
The CPU does not reach 100%. It stays around 30% to 90%, depending on the decoder used (Nvidia, dscaler, intervideo, MPV, Nero, elecard, Cyberlink), the video render (overlay, VMR9) and whether the pc is recording another program (with comskip running).
I'm trying to get this working nicely with version GBPVR 0.99.12 (with XP) before upgrading to version 1.0.
Is this normal behavior? Should I just get used to the frame droppings? Or should I get better hardware? (I still noticed the frame droppings using an athlon 2600+ with 1 GB RAM; my desktop PC)
I did use the newest drivers for the videocard, btw.
note: the updater exe has been moved into the plugin’s subdirectory )as per the guidelines for PVRX2 plugins). Any automatic updates procedures you have setup may need to be edited to reflect this move.
I know there is technically no support for this card yet, but I've been playing around with it. I was curious if anyone else had yet.
I have the analog side working. I made a new entry in the direct.ini file. The entry is identical to the HVR-1600 entry, except I named it HVR-1800. It also works if I set the direct recording plugin to Conexant Blackbird.
I can't get the digital side to work. I tried making a new entry into the bda.ini file, which is a copy of the HVR-1600 entry, but it didn't work. However, GBPVR detects the digital side as a Hauppauge OEM 885. If I set it to this, GBPVR doesn't complain. GBPVR even allows me to scan for digital channels. I still do not pick up any channels though.
I was just wondering if anyone had played around with getting XM Radio to work inside GBPVR streaming over the web. Maybe someone has gotten ubustream or ubradio to work with it. I tried to search for XM, but the search engine won't let me do a search that short and I couldn't find anything in wiki or the forums.
I have not tried anything yet, but I am thinking it would prolly take a dedicated plugin since there are so many channels offered and it list the name of the songs currently playing. maybe an idea for a new plugin for soembody
