CNN recently revamped their site with a new style and a new videos page, accordingly, I have done the same with the CNN dynsource.
The new dynsource gets its data directly from cnn-provided xml files instead of the previously used screen scraping method. This means that the dynsource is less succeptible to minor changes in web page layout.
CNN has removed, renamed or combined some of the old sections in addition to the addition of some new ones. If you prefer to stick with the old familiar sections, I will leave the old version posted on this thread. (No guarantees on how long until CNN breaks the screen scraping process.)
Important Note: At times, this dynsource will fetch up to 800 individual stations. Please keep this in mind when the ubustream config app appears to be stuck importing CNN stations.
Loving the new version 1.0.8 is great, just looking forward to getting all the previous functionality into pvrx2!
Anyway, the reason I'm posting is that I have a problem (another one) with standby. I have my machine automatically going into standby using windows power management, and waking for recordings/epg updates etc. The problem is that when it wakes, the network doesn't come back. It gets stuck on "aquiring IP address". This is odd, because I have assigned it a static IP. If I disable the network adapter, and re-enable it the network comes back. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?
Also, when it comes back on, the GBPVR window doesn't have focus. This is a WAF dealbreaker for me. Any advice on this front?
Hi,
since I've upgrated to 1.0.8, I got some problems:
I got my pictures and videos on a networkdrive, which is mounted on the PC running the gbpvr server. Bu I can't open directrories on the networkdrive via MVP and it's remotecontrol.
Acessing the files on the PC via PVRX2.exe works perfect.
Accessing files, which are local on the computer running the servers via the MVP works well too.
It did also work with GBPVR's last version.
Is there anykind of new timeout limit built in?
Any idea?
I am currently maintaining EmuNation. I saw some threads here that thought they had trouble using the EmuNation plugin with GBPVR, but they were pretty old. Are people having trouble? Not having trouble? Or not using it? I think GBPVR is an excellent program, and myself and others have put some effort lately into trying to get the plugin to work for more people outside North America. So it would be a shame if GBPVR and Emunation didn't play well together
Where does gbpvr store the command line parameters of a custom task? I use custom tasks to launch vlc sessions that transcode web video to mpg I then watch through MVP. However, I've now encountered a web feed that has a URL that includes the date of the program. So what I want to do is have a daily script run on the machine that updates the command line of the custom task so its ready to go when I when I select it. I was hoping it was in config.xml and I'd make a simple perl script to change the custom task parameter...but I don't see it there. Are the custom task details stored in the gbpvr.db3 file or somewhere else?
Alternatively, is there a way to have a custom task be a .bat file instead of an .exe? I suppose I could just make my own .exe that in turn launches some other file...?
Several plugins have in addition to using "SelectedInactive" for list items, also used them for the plugin's buttons as well.
As example, in your Recordings screen, while you were scrolling down a list, it would still indicate if you were looking a "What's New" or one of the other selections.
Even if you don't use CompositeImages and CommonImages named "ButtonSelectedInactive", other plugin authors would probably like to see this provided for them.
Since moving to 1.08, no plugins are showing up. Tried putting them in the separate directory, to no avail. They show up in the config utility, but not in the program. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this one?
There was an issue in the previous version with FSE where the screen was left corrupt after GBPVR exited.
This is still happening to me but is now very intermittant. I have tried and failed to find a sequence of events that will always cause the problem. I found nothing that will reliably recreate the problem.
For example, the attached logs show instances where I have started PVRX2, selected a menu item and exited. I got a normal exit and when I repeat the actions, I get a corrupted exit.
I have noticed that something appears to flash up on the screen after exit is selected on the menu. It flashes too fast for me to see what it is. I noticed something similar in the previous version. Is there something about the exit routine that causes something to be displayed? It may be that this is the source of the problem.
