First of all, great job on 1.0.8, looks and works great, upgraded smoothly too.. However I can't get my 45-button hauppage remote to work with it as well as it did before.
up/down are fine, so is 'ok' so I can get into tv guide, for example, but then pressing 'back' (which maps to ESC under my irremote.ini for the old GNPVR exe) doesn't go back to main menu. pressing ESC on the keyboard does, so I'm wondering if its the window-name that's not right in the irremote.ini file. What should the window name be for PVRX2 then?
Right... so I've read many threads on the issue of GBPVR creating 0kb tv recordings but none of these have provided me with any answers ..
What happened;
GBPVR working great, recording stuff happily .. no worries ... then one day, without having touched the PC on which it runs ... all recordings started ending up as 0kb ...
We're running v95.16 with a Nova-T, Cyberlink Mux and xmltv epg through bleb ... nothing changed in the system to influence this issue and the PC runs 24/7 without any form of hibernation ... the drive where recordings go has over 60GB of space left ...
Additionally I read on other threads reports of an issue of there being mysterious files in the devnz programme file folder that don't have file extensions (none of the threads suggested why/how they're there) ... I seem to have a selection of these which I'm not sure what to do with or how they got there .. these all are named in line with previously recorded shows ...
I tried switching to using the DVR-MS encoder but this resulted in a 6kb file (presumably this file size is made up of background info rather than recorded content and so the same as a 0kb mpg file? )
Hope someone can pass some light on my problem. My PVR has been working great for a year, but yeterday just wouldnt turn on (i.e. not even fans running) . There appears to be power to the motherboard (My Hauuppaauge PCI card has a red LED lit up) but nothing else.
My guess is it may be the microswitch for actually turning the power on. Would I be risking anything by just shorting the power jumpers to see if this is the case?
Is there anyway to convert video to audio file format (mp3/mp4) within GBPVR? My goal is to record shows like Mad Money in both video and mp3 or cdtrack format and transfer via bluetooth to the phone so I can listen during drive. Any info or guidance is appreciated. Thank you!
For new version of my Cinema Listings plug-in I've moved the update.exe into gbpvr\Plugins\InternationalCinemaListings as sub wants.
The exe uses 4 dlls:
GbpvrUiElements.dll
CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll
GBPVRPublic.dll
InternationalCinemaListingsPlugIn2.dll
The last dll is loaded ok (as its in the same directory) but the others are 2 folders up, in devnz/gbpvr/ and for some reason the .NET linker can't find them.
I am switching over my current installation to a new media server based on SBS 2003R2. The Hauppauge card PVR500MCE works without any problems and recordings can be played back normaly.
However when pausing live TV I am getting the message that there is an error in playing back live TV.
A part of the log shows this:
2007-07-14 01:52:25.203 ERROR [1] Error: msg=0x201 (WM_LBUTTONDOWN) hwnd=0x7028a wparam=0x1 lparam=0x1c40122 result=0x0 : System.Exception: Failure playing back file

I am running the program as an user with full administrative rights. If I log on as administrator I have not this problem so it seems to be a security issue. Does anybody have an idea what is wrong?
- when watch manual recording, there is sound
- I do a ctrl-o to catchup, there is NO sound
- I rewind, and after a while there is sound
- I jump back to the beginning, there is sound
- When i do a catchup again, there is NO sound
somehow there is no sound when the watching is very near real-time.
I have been looking through the documentation and the forums but I can't seem to find a guide that explains how to setup a 22khz tone switch for a DVB-S card. If anyone can break down the steps involved I'd greatly appreciate it.
Is there a GBPVR API or an interface for use with the built-in web server?
I want to be able to insert a new recording via a PostUpdateEPG.bat process.
I have looked at the db3 file but do not see how to select which 'capture_source' to use if I inserted a 'recording_type' = 0 record in the RECORDING_SCHEDULE table directly.
