ZapImport was hogging too much CPU so I removed it. I thought everything went well, but the next time I went to use the XSearch plugin, I now get an error saying it can't load zapinterface or something like that. I've attached my log and would appreciate any help since I can't search for any programs at the moment.
Does anyone out there who has this Asus M2NPV-VM motherboard and is using the onboard sound encountered static sound( pop sounds) during TV channel change on the GBPVR? In fact small static sounds could be also heard during the booting up. This has become quite annoying when change channel during TV watch. The static sound will only appear at the moment when TV card switches channel. Please share your solution. Thanks.
I love using the Show Search plugin to find movies I want to record but it is frustrating that it just gives me an error when there is a recording conflict. Is it not possible for Show Search to use the GBPVR API to support the same kind of Recording Conflict resolution as in the Search Guide built-in search feature?
I tried downloading the gbpvr .msi file and it stalls out every time I try. It gets to almost complete and then just stalls out. Can anyone help me? I think it was a problem with my router or service provider I downloaded it from my work computer without a problem. Now I get to try it out!
Sony utilizes its own proprietary hardware with the Vaio and I'm having trouble getting gbpvr working because it does not recognize or support the Sony Vaio video capture card. I've tried running GraphEdit to change the .ini file but GraphEdit does not list any BDA Source Filters. Seems like it's not recognizing the card either.
I can currently view TV/Video through Sony's proprietary Giga Pocket PVR, but I'd like to get gbpvr operational. Any suggestions?
I still am somewhat of a newbie but I've spent hours now reading forums and trying things, and so I have a few questions.
Can the quality of live TV via GB-PVR, ever be as good as watching regular TV? I can't seem to get it so. Everytime I switch back to regular ol TV it's better. Same with recording TV shows. It just doesn't look as good as watching it on my TV via cable, live. I tried high quality and even custom recording.
Is this just a foregone conclusion that everyone knows and accepts or am I missing something. I don't notice it as much on CRT TV's or smaller TV's but I loaded GB-PVR on my brothers PC and hooked it up to his Panasonic Plasma 42" HDTV, and there is quite a drop in quality from live TV in GB-PVR versus live tv straight to the TV
I've tried 4 different decoders, I tried the Quartz fix, I tried Overlay, but the picture is never as good as regular TV. The decoders I have are Intervideo, Cyberlink, Nero, and Hauppauges. I'm using the Hauppauge 150MCE card with a GeForce 6200LE video card.
All I want is quality to be the same as regular TV. I'm sure if I can't get regular TV to match up, I can dream on about getting HDTV to be the same.
Howdy! I'm just trying out GBPVR and I like it. I wanted to be able to use it to watch live TV using my Dazzle DVC80. Reading through prior posts here, it was stated that the Dazzle devices were not supported, although there were pointers to the SoftwareRecorder plug-in, which is also no longer supported.
That said - after playing with the configuration some, I was able to get the video display (and it looks halfway decent, given this is a USB 1.0 device! Much better than any of the other TV viewing programs I've tried!), but I've not had any success getting the audio to come through. Would anybody be willing to help me play with the configurations some more to see if it's possible to get this working?
I'm trying to decide whether to build an HTPC or buy a new media server, but one of the factors I'm not sure about is the digital side of my HVR-1600 tuner cards. GBPVR doesn't support the QAM digital half yet, and I can't get the WinTV applications to record any digital stations. So I don't know what kind of file format I'm going to end up with.
Will it be a higher bitrate MPEG2, a TS transport stream, or a H.264 stream? Or will it vary from one channel to another?
I'll be using QAM with my unencoded digital TV stations.
Can anyone give me some insight as to what kind of files I can expect out of the HVR-1600?
The FM Radio in Hauppauge HVR-3000 is not detected by GBPVR. In capture sources the card is correctly detected as HVR-3000 while GBPVR also detects Nova cards even though I only have the HVR-3000 card plus two PVR-150 cards installed.
With the FM Radio software provoded by Hauppauge, the FM radio is working, so the drivers should be OK.
Is FM radio not supported supported for HVR-3000 or is there any settings or tweaks i must do?
