I'd love to have an option to up the TASK PRIORITY of ffmpeg.
my CPU cant support live TV without upping task priority of the GBPVR and recordings are also choppy. that was easy to solve since the config.xml has the option to raise service priority. everything works fine now for SDTV live and recorded shows and divx files on my 2500+ athlon XP.
however transcoding the HDTV 720p or 1080i into the 480i doesnt work real time (MVP catches up after a minute or so). i'm thinking that above normal for ffmpeg would fix that part.
Hi, I have been using GBPVR flawlessly for quite a while now, but have just made some changes to my network setup and am now running into problems.
The problems are specific to me, rather than to gbpvr but know that you are all wise here so may be able to help me!
The original set up that worked fine was all running from a single modem/router with a 4 port switch, but I now need more than 4 ports and also decided to add some wireless to my life. So I bought a belkin wireless router with a 4 port switch, and plugged this into the original modem router.
But with the way I have it set up with the mvp server computer plugged into the modem router and the mvp plugged into the new router it wont connect.
Now should I be looking at some fixed ip routing/forwarding or is the only way for it to work, to have the mvp server and the mvp on the same router?
As I'm, having trouble getting FF/RWD to work in playback I'm wondering if I can convert the files to MPG format (in which case I can use Realplayer to play them back).
I have to add channels twice to get the ones that screen before and after hours like 7pm. However having installed 99.12 I've got an error a couple of times (HVR-900 with an MVP). I could delete and re-add the recording source but this wouldn't solve the problem!
Any suggestions? Cheers!

The ini file is a comma separated value file where the first line is another executable and the following lines are a channel number , a list of args.
So for example for comskip use I put this line in the postprocess.bat file:
chanrun chanrun.ini %2 %1
My chanrun.ini is this:
d:\gbpvr\comskip.exe
1, âini=nologo.ini
2, âini=log.ini
20, âini=firewire.ini
When postprocess.bat is run chanrun goes through the file and if the channel number is found it runs comskip with these arguments: d:\gbpvr\comskip.exe âini=nologo.ini [recording filename]
Thats it, but is saves a lot of typing and makes it easier to ma
I am a newbie to the whole "watching TV on a computer" and I had a few questions to catch up the whole idea. Before I start with my questions here is some info on my setup:
Located in Queens, NY
4.2 gig intel 4 processor
Leadtek Nvidia 6800 video card with latest drivers
Nvidia Decoder installed
hauppauge PVR150MCE card with beta drivers which came with the MCE remote.
Time warner cable at home but direct connection to the PVR card without the cable box. Just brought a coaxial cable into my room through the splitter from the main cable before the box.
Questions:
1) The TV listings I get from zap2go do not match the channels I get. I understand that is because I am not using a cable box and that I have to just match them up manually through the capture source>channel tab. correct?
2) Is it possible for me to get HDTV signal and view on my monitor? If not what else would I need?
3) Am I missing something? Do I need anything else to get more channels with the current setup without getting an extra cable box?
Thanks all, I would appreciate if someone can help me answer these questions!
whenever I start up gbpvr, the splash screen takes longer than usual, and then an error pops up saying "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
I'm pretty sure this happened once before, but I cant remember what I had to do to fix it. I did install some DVD burning software, but removed it because I thought it might be causing the problem. This didn't help at all. I'm really confused, because it kinda happened out of the blue.
If anyone has any insight or knowledge about how to fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.
I managed to screw up my Ubustream config somehow... I get this error message when going to WebStream settings:
I can still add channels and put them on groups, but for example all other configuration menus are gone. And also it gives this error all the time when going through WebStream settings.
How could I fix it - prefer someway other than removing and installing plugin again, would not like to add all my stations again...
used to work before, but who knows what i've done since then, so i downloaded platform SDK to get latest graphedit and registered proppage.dll but i still get
"unable to open file - class not registered"
I have a working installation, but it has stopped updating the EPG (I use the embedded broadcast EPG in the UK). Live TV works, as does recording set manually, but there is no EPG. I have tried manually emptying and updating it several times, but to no avail. It was OK a few days ago.
Does anyone know what may be causing this?
Thanks
Andrew
