MVP Remote Skip Button is Unreliable
Posted by: 9442723 - 2007-05-26, 10:30 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (2)

On some shows my MVP remote skip function button will not operate properly. I can go directly to the end of the show after a couple of presses or go back in program time when I skip forward. On other shows it works perfectly. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

  DVB EPG Blank
Posted by: Obsidian - 2007-05-26, 09:16 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi there

I have managed to get GBPVR up and running fine, and my dual tuner DVB-T card (Nova-T-500) has both tuners sorted. However, I cannot seem to get any entries into the EPG using DVB EPG. I have tried emptying and refilling several times, but when I go into GBPVR the EPG is always empty. I don't get any error messages or anything when the EPG is supposedly updating.

Does anyone have any ideas at all where I could start working out the problem?

Thanks

GBPVR on Vista - configuration - plugins
Posted by: Musik_Slave - 2007-05-26, 08:28 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Does anyone run GBPVR on Vista?

I have run GBPVR on XP for about 2 years now and its been perfect using the hauppage mvp hauppauge hardware.

i'm using a plugin - musiclibrary2 with the access database backend and its fine.

i have purchased a new machine now and was brave got vista (dell dimension e520)

But the problem im having is the configuration utility does not even list the new musiclibrary2 and also if i change the plugin listing that does not update when you run gbpvr on the machine, am i missing something here?

I also have access 2007 running but i dont think this is anything to do with the problem.

greatful for any help

  Repeatable Error in 5.3
Posted by: jtokach - 2007-05-26, 06:42 PM - Forum: Recording2, MusicLibrary2, SystemStatus Support - Replies (5)

Hi, my MVP resets every time I do the following:

1. Sort by genre
2. Highlight a genre
3. Click yellow button to queue (Music starts playing)
4. Select and queue a second genre
5. Switch to playlist view
6. Click red to randomize

At this point it resets the MVP, every time. Does not always happen when all tracks from one genre are queued on the MVP.

This works fine when done from the GBPVR interface on the computer.

Thanks,

Jim

Agarwal's MDAPI Plugin = Open Source
Posted by: Trips - 2007-05-26, 06:31 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

Sub,

You've probably seen this over at the DVBN/Happysat forums but Agarwal has released the source code for the mdapi filter. I don't know if this has any signifigance to the way it is used by GB-PVR or not but thought I'd post in case it does. Before releasing it he also updated the plugin.

  Pinnacle USB Stick and GBPVR
Posted by: dshepherd - 2007-05-26, 04:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I have a Pinnacle USB Stick which is listed as in Device Manager as a Pinnacle 71e. Has anybody made the required changes already to get this working ? I have tried to follow the Wiki Page but no joy so any help would be hugely appreciated.

Many thanks

every recording goes wrong. A window comes up with:
GBVPRrecordingService.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This is in the logfile:
What is the problem here ? There is nothing wrong with my memory.

My EPG is blank after working for a long time. I use XMLTV. I have this in the XMLTV log:

  Problem with Technisat remote
Posted by: croccodillo - 2007-05-26, 03:03 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

Hello all,

I'm new here.
I just discovered the GB-PVR program, I really like it.
Last night I put together a PC and installed GB-PVR; it will became my Media Center.
I have a DVB-S card, a Technisat Skystar 2.
IT seems the Hardware is OK, the GB-PVR recognized the BDA drivers, I have now to scan for the channels and then connect the PC to my TV set.

I have a problem: The TV card shipped with a remote (TTS35AI) and an USB dongle (THIS).
It is recognized by Windows as USB HID device.
I tried to make the remote work, but without success.
If I run GB-PVR the remote works, the number keys and arrows keys make what expected, but of course no one other key works.

I tried to run config.exe, go to "Capture sources" tab, open my channel changer (USB-uirt PLUGIN) settings and then try to add a new Device profile; At this point the config.exe program crashes and exit to windows.
Why?

I have installed the HIP program, if I try to run it it says to me that cannot find any device; I tried alll the devices listed in the software (Configure->File->preferences->alternatte input). What I have do to to make my remote work?

Is there anybody that has already used the Technisat remote/USB dongle with success and that can help me (perhaps with configuration files)?

Thanks in advance,
Giovanni Albergoni

  Crop filter
Posted by: carpeVideo - 2007-05-26, 01:37 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Does any one know of a free directX crop filter?

I'd like to insert in graphs of s-video capture of high def channels and letterboxed to get back to the original 16:9 ratio, saving process power and file space when recording with the graphRecorder plug-in

Using virtualVCRs works but resets the crop settings to 0 every time a the graph is re-initialized.
