I was just wondering if it is possible to have GBPVR installed twice on the same computer- once using the computer's own TV cards, and once as a client using the TV card in a computer elsewhere? (my TV aerial and satellite cable come in to different sides of the house).
Hello,
I have installed HIP to use my MCE remote and it works great.
But, when I go to LIVE TV or start a recording, the remote stops working.
The keyboard and mouse still work.
After closing gbpvr the remote starts working again.
No boot or hip restart needed.
I don't know if it's a my fault or an error but I only see 8 channels in my tv guide (the last 8) - but I want to see all my channels (around 25). And I haven't found a way to go up or down.
I was first using UbuRadio, but had too many problems with it (dont want to get deeper on that). Then I tried UbuStream and it's almost perfect since I can optimize it lots from config.
Only problem is that UbuStream has a bit too much features. I would like to cut down menu a bit. Basicly all I need is the first screen of UbuStream that would directly show my streams (all net radios) on the list. I dont need groups and they only give me one more useless step before I can click my stream. Menu would only need "Play", "Stop", and "Main Menu" buttons.
I am sure that menu layout can be tweaked somewhere, but could not find the right file myself
Another question. I have configured UbuStream to play net radio streams with Mediaplayer "Internal". If I start listening stream, then go to Music Libary and start listening some mp3, they both play at the same time. What player does Music Libary use and how could I configure UbuStream so that it stops playing streams if something is played from Music Libary?
During the channel scan gbpvr crashes - I have no idea why. Some time ago I tried the previous version which didn't produce an error.
I allready disabled my virus scanner, without success. It's more or less a fresh windows install, so there aren't any other "special" services running.
I have been running two WRT54GS's with HyperWRT Thibor 15c in WDS Mode as follows with my Wired Hauppauge MediaMVP for several years.
Server PC <=>WRT54GS (WDS+AP Mode) <=Wireless=> WRT54GS (WDS Mode) <=> MediaMVP.
I undertand this is half duplex so you only get 1/2 the throughput. A recent demand for bandwith has me looking at other options.
I understand I COULD do this?
A. Server PC <=>WRT54GS#1 (AP Mode) <=Wireless=> WRT54GS#2 (Client Mode) <=> MediaMVP.
OR
B. Server PC <=>WRT54GS (Wireless Ethernet Bridge) <=Wireless=> WRT54GS (Client Mode) <=> MediaMVP.
OR
C. Server PC <=>WRT54GS (Wireless Ethernet Bridge) <=Wireless=> WRT54GS (Wireless Ethernet Bridge) <=> MediaMVP.
D. Server PC <=>WRT54GS (AP) <=Wireless=> WRT54GS (Wireless Ethernet Bridge) <=> MediaMVP.
Are there any network gurus out there who can advise the best approach for me to achieve this? No other clients connect to Router #2, but Router #1 needs to be an AP.
Should I be able to achieve the ones that do not work (i.e. am I missing a security setting issue - nothing else was changed)?
I am very happy with the workaround for the "no sound"
problem as described here: http://www.shspvr.com/smf/index.php?topic=9629.0
I have a PVR150 and a PVR150MCE in my computer.
the problem that I now have that the startup test recording
is not properly tuned, it records noise only.
There is an error in the log file but I don't know how to fix it.
Can somebody take a look and help me with it please ?

hello,
recently changed my setup with asus x1650 and 32" LCD tv and using HDMI-DVI cable to connect.
avi's etc play fine, but live TV is awful - trails when fast moving pictures and colours are watered down. this was all fine prior to changing the vga card/cable (previous using on board nvidia 6500 tv-out and was fine) so assume is the graphics card/driver issue..
anyone have any advice? have searched this forum and found a few hints, although nothing which seems to make a difference..
running amd 3800 x2, asus M2NPV-VM, 1gb ram, xp sp2, gbpvr latest, catalyst lastest
I just setup GBPVR on my system with a Hauppauge PVR-500, whenever I go to view live tv I just get a black screen, no sound or anything. I have tried about 5 different codecs now(PureVideo, CyberLink, GPL, Dscaler, MPV) and it does the same thing every time. I have tested the card in another computer running Vista Ultimate and it works just fine. Any suggestions?
System:
P4 3 Ghz
1GB DDR400
Hauppauge PVR-500
EVGA GeForce FX 5200
Windows XP SP2
Hi,
I cannot get the windows screensaver to run with GBPVR open. So I cannot get hiberntor to correcly hibernate my computer with GBPVR open. If I close GBPVR and just have the recording service open everything hibernator and the windows screensaver works just fine. Does anyone else have this problem? Are there any fixes? I would like to have the application open when I wake from hibernation. I've tried other applications like Shutter but I cannot get them to work correctly, they always go to hibernate when I'm listening to music. Help please!!
