First off a big thanks for GBPVR - I've had a Freecom DVB-T for a year and never managed to get it running before. I've now installed it on a Vista laptop with the latest BDA drivers from Freecom and it works almost perfectly - the only issue is that sometimes the picture doesn't stretch to fit the window. Restarting GBPVR usually fixes it - any ideas?
Also, is there a way to select a channel directly rather than having to go through them all?
My main problem however is on my XP Desktop (AMD x2 3800+, GeForce 6200). I've installed the latest BDA drivers for XP from Freecom and set everything up in config. It scans through and detects all channels and shows a preview in the scan dialogue. Unfortunately, when I run GBPVR and select Live TV, I just get a black screen and no sound.
hi everyone! just a quickie. i have several brilliant recordings in the dvr.ms format (ofcourse!). everytime i try to convert them to mpg the audio goes slowly out of sync. (the original file plays perfectly in WMP 11). gross! need help. apologies if this has been mentioned before. point me in then right direction and i'll go look. please........ no techno jargon.

I have a question about the folder using.
I'm using your nice plugin VideoArchiv viewing TV videos stored in various folder.
The pathes to these folders are defined in the archived video area.
If a folder becomes empty he directly disappeares but he didn't appear if a new entry is saved.
Such a folder is shown only after a restart of MediaMVP or by hitting the GO button.
Is there any possibility to show the folder also automaticly, if a new, first entry is saved?
Hi, Iâve just found a program called DVBGuide that captures the Electronic programming guide data as itâs broadcast over the digital television network and converts it into XMLTV format.
Currently Iâm experimenting with it but it should prove useful in filling in the EPG data that is often missing from the radio times XMLTV.
Itâs a command line program that can be run within windows which allows the user to specify current UK frequencies and download the EPG data into a usable XMLTV data file which can be read by GBPVR.
By utilizing batch files it can easily be programmed to automatically scan any series of frequencies and download the XMLTV data into a usable program guide, although it's my experience that any one frequency appears to contain all the relevant EPG data for the Freeview network.
I am planning to build a PVR and use gbpvr with a Hauppauge MVP. I am looking at either the PVR-150 or HVR-1600. I know the 150 is supported, but the 1600 is not listed, although there are a few posts that mention it. I am told that even in analog, the 1600 is better than the 150. They are both priced the same. Can anyone tell me if the 1600 is, in fact, supported and/or if there are particular configuration issues or instructions I will need to know to use it. Is there any reason to go with the 150 vs the 1600?
Anything special I should know. I am fairly technically competant and computer literate, but have never build a PVR. My plan is to use a Dell running a Pentium 4 2GHz with 512M RAM and 80GB HD, a wired MVP and, of course, gbpvr. I will use cable (no box) and/or HD antenna. If I have trouble with the setup, I may switch to alternative free or commercial PVR software and do the scheduling from the PC and viewing from the TV, but I prefer the Tivo-like experience of programming at the set if possible.
Finally, I would like to be able to find, select and play flash videos from websites, eg. nbc.com. Will I be able to do this from the set box without downloading them to the PC?
I added in another harddrive and moved half my shows to a new hard drive.
My previous for storage was F:, i moved some to my new one G:
I tried importing the recordings list but it says it doesnt work for moved ones. How do i get both drive F: and G: listed inside gbpvr.
EDIT: the directories seem to be only for video/photo/music.
basiclly what im asking is how to have 2 recording directories.but only have it write to F: i want it to still read G: tho in the list.
EDIT: further searching and less narrowing my search brought me this http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...irectories
from the wishlist section. guess i should have looked higher.
Someone there mentions a symbolic link to make files from 1 drive act like there in another to i guess "trick" gbpvr. I know this isnt possible without vista but is there a way todo something similar with XP? Simply linking in Video library to the drive doesnt list the episode descriptions or anything with sucks the big one.
P.S. I tried using the Video Archive plugin but it made it so i could not start gbpvr anymore and had to reinstall gbpvr. (which i now updated to latest version)
Whatever is in this new version is good. Im not sure what it is but all my recordings from previous and now are clearer. And no i did not change my decoders.
I was running the latest patch (I think) and the batch file downloads were working ok, but I just tried to stream and I get all sorts of errors.
The most troubling is that it causes IE to crash and that leaves VLC streaming. I have to use pskill to get rid of the process since for whatever reason, from taskmanager it says access denied.
Also, when I press the transcode or the player options, I get an error screen.
Here is the error when I select the player options

Let me see if I can get this right..I'm Running a dual boot system with Vista and XP. My card is a HVR1600. I have installed all the native drivers and the card works flawlessly with WinTV and MCE. When trying to install GBPVR and making any selections in the "config" portion of the set up I get a "Not Responding" comment window. I've tried unchecking all the plugins and also trying the program on the XP version of my Dual boot..Same results. I also had an ols Technisat PCI card that returned the exact results. Attached are the logs as requested..I'm trying the lastest version 99.12 and have 2.0 NET frameas well.
