I've coded yet another show image grabber utility - ShowImageGrabber.
It comes with both a windows and console version. The console version is useful in batch file process (ie PostUpdateEPG.bat), the windows version is more interactive, you can select specific shows, and choose from which site to save the image. Both version use the same 'core' code, so should provide the same results.
There are a couple other utilities out on the Wiki that do much the same thing, so I'm not sure how much time I spend on it. If folks find it useful, I may 'officially' release it.
Ok, I know it's not a GB-PVR issue, but when I play a file in either GB-PVR or media player it spikes the cpu to 100%, but Power DVD is steady around 50%
I've got one of those PIA epia boards with hardware acceleration turned on. I just reloaded the OS, and am kicking myself because it used to work just fine, I was even able to run comskip inline! It may be a driver thing...
I played with the settings in media player but I don't really know what I'm doin with that.
I've gotten pretty good at using the search function on this forum, but was unable to find something to help.

So I have vista basic home and trying to create an image of vista w/o all the junk that came w/ laptop. I'm having trouble using partimage. using systemrescuecd and when i type:
fdisk -l:
there's
/dev/sda1 -toshiba's 1.5 gb hidden partition; ntfs
/dev/sda2 -the c: w/ vista in it; ntfs
/dev/sda3 -the backup partition i create; ntfs
and for external drive:
/dev/sdb1 -160gb; fat32
When I go to select the drive, i highlight /dev/sda2
For the line where u enter the location:
I try /dev/sdb1/vista.bak (arbitrary name) to get it to backup to my external hdd.
However, I get an error saying that it doesn't have permission to write or something like that.
If i just typed vista.bak; then it tries to write to the 1.5 gb hidden partition and gets full (there's 11 gb)

sub This wish x-references one (item#2) for the EWA Auto-saved search facility, but I understand my wish for that cannot be fulfilled without a change to the base system? The wish is simply that if a reminder is killed, it does not search again. UJB noted it cannot be supported without building an external sub-system on reminders. Is this a possibility? I think this also relates to this thread ? Anyway, that's my wish .... k.
When I tried the 0421 (or was it 0423?) nightly I was very happy to see the little OSD Volume Control display working (again). This brings me to a question that has been bugging me, as apart from some odd HAUP betas, where it did work, the HAUP dongle does not show this.
My question though is does the HAUP dongle actually CHANGE the volume, regardless of whether the OSD bar is displayed?
I ask as I had set the mvpmc dongle quite low, and when I reloaded the HAUP dongle, it seemed (at least on one show we watched the other night) to need quite LOUD TV volume to even hear the recorded show. I wondered if it had reatined the settings from teh mvpmc dongle and whether I would need to reload it, up the vol, then go back to the HAUP dongle.
Any registered http://dvbn.happysat.org users here? If so, can you help me out. I cant remember my user account name :o so I'd like someone to check one of the posts for me to let me know exactly what my account name was. I recently rebuilt my machine, and lost my details for this, and I'd rather not create a new account. Unfortunately every login combination I tried failed. Yes - I feel dumb.
