How to setup up Gbpvr on KWORLD atsc 110
Posted by: jgrizzle - 2007-03-19, 11:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I have looked on the forums and around on the net and I still have not figured out how to set this thing up. I have already downloaded the channel listings and got all of that to work but it will not find any channels. I followed all of the step by steps but it still will not work. I got the tv to work with another program that came with the card but it would not record. I hope I can find some help here hehe I am running out of ideas on what to do. Thanks for any replys in advance!

  Strange behavior..
Posted by: _Dude_ - 2007-03-19, 11:49 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I'm using Zap2it Labs for my Guide and I have [I use DirecTV by the way] channel 388 checked however in GBPvr it won't show. I have tried the config file, I've tried to manually add it and while the numbers show up I cannot use it to watch live tv or record on that channel.

Anyone else having or have had this problem and how do I fix this?

Thanks
John

Recording service crash - "checking signal status"
Posted by: Mister Slimm - 2007-03-19, 11:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (17)

Just had an odd error, first time I've seen it.

The end of one recording finished ten minutes into the start of another and this was when the service appeared to crash. My Slimm GB-PVR caught it and restarted the recording service and it appears to be fine now. The logs (see the -1 logs for GBPVRRecordingService.exe and GBPVRRecordingService.exe.Native) are full of "Checking signal status" and related on my digital tv card.

I'm not concerned about this at this time as it is a one-off but is presented here for your information. All logs enclosed.

  Cable Connections To 2nd Card?
Posted by: JHGBPVR - 2007-03-19, 10:40 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi,
Newbie question....

I saw that UPS delivered my hvr 1600 (Circuit City $59.99 sale). Couldn't find this answer on quick search due to limited time. Help me get an idea when I get home to play with this.

When I place the new card next to the old PVR150, do I need a cable splitter to run cable directly into both cards or do I only need to connect cable to one card and they'll both share the signal?

Thanx in advance!

  Support for 878-based WinTV boards
Posted by: matt_barry - 2007-03-19, 10:06 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

Does anyone know if there is going to be any support for the Hauppauge TV WinTV-GO-Plus PCI card which is a 878-based WinTV board?

  frontend & backend support?
Posted by: hansoffate - 2007-03-19, 09:28 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I am about to get another tv. I was wondering if gbpvr had frontend and backend support. It would be sweet if it did because then i can stick my system in a closet with two tuner cards, record all my stuff on that computer. Then have 2 frontends that are small form factors that could play the media.

Any ideas?
Thanks
-Hans

re: Help on a couple of minor graphics niggles
Posted by: DanielP - 2007-03-19, 09:22 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi,

I have been using GB-PVR (several versions, now the latest) successfully for a while now. There are just a couple of issues I was wondering if anyone could help with.

I have a NF2 board with a GF6200 graphics card. I have the system going into S4 (Hibernate) after recordings (S3 wasn't as reliable + S4 is better all round). When I resume from hibernate, all video (pre-recorded and live) is extemely jerky- I need to close GB-PVR and the application.

Also, on occasions, video plays back at below 25fps, so is very flickery- this can be resolved by pausing and restarting the show a few times.

Additional info- I am using 92:91 drivers (these reduce the symptoms a little), VRM9 overlay (best image quality + solves a couple of other issues) with an AC3 codec and possibly Cyberlink decoder with Freecom V1 USB stick.

Any tips would be appreciated- sorry if I missed solutions in other posts!

Daniel

Sound card required for the GB-PVR?
Posted by: Tepabajo - 2007-03-19, 09:19 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

Will I be able to use the integrated sound or will I need to install a sound card to use this software? I bought a PC to use as my HTPC and don't have any PCI slots left for a sound card.

  Reformatted + reinstalled - PVR150 +GBPVR issues
Posted by: bluphant - 2007-03-19, 09:16 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hey all-

I've been using GBPVR for some time now on a little Dell box. I decided, when upgrading from my previous 80 gig hd to a 250 gig hd, to start fresh, and reformat/reinstall everything.... basically because I had all kinds of remnants of stuff from when I was testing other PVR software, etc.

Here's the basics of my configuration:
Dell OptiPlex GXPro 150 (Celeron 1gHz)
Windows XP Pro
512meg RAM
MSI NX6200AX-TD128LF GeForce 6200 128MB DDR AGP 4X/8X LP Video Card
* Current Forceware 93.71
* Nvidia PureVideo decoder installed/active.
PVR150LP capture device
* Zap2It setup for EPG
Attached to a 32" Samsung EDTV (4x3)

As my box is on the slow side, I'm currently running GBPVR in overlay mode.

My main issue right now is that during playback, the controls (fast forward, play, pause, etc) appear on the screen, however they do not function. Clicking them has no effect. If I click too many times, the GVPVR application dies. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction (older forceware?)

Side question, this may make me look like a n00b, but whatever. In WebAdmin, if I have recurring recordings setup, is there a way to EDIT the properties for the recurring recording?

Tnx much-

-Blu

  EPG Not Updating
Posted by: lonegeek - 2007-03-19, 09:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

My epg for one of my sources will not update.

It quit working for a short time, then i realized i didn't renew zap2it. So I renewed it. Epg still wouldn't update. I even remade the source.
