Kodi/knewc crashing on server (local client). We tried to start playback of an NFL game recording in progress from knewc Video library, the recording was about 90 minutes in or so, and we were left on with the desktop on the screen.
Logs attached. I had debug logging on in Kodi, the log file is a monster.
I'm coming from SageTV. In SageTV, when you watch a program in LiveTV and during the program decide that you want to save the program your watching as a manual recording from when you first tuned in, you can. You simply hit a record icon on the OSD.
In NextPVR, it appears you have to escape your way out of LiveTV and go TV Guide and commence the recording, but it only records from that point on, leaving the prior video footage unrecorded. Is there a work around? I miss that feature in SageTV.
Currently sub doesn't provide support for running multiple instance of an extra like he does for IPTV. Until this feature is added the steps are to copy a working extra.
As an example:
1. copy extra-locast.xml extra-locast-1.xml The filename must start with extra and end with .xml
2. From Setting Devices select extra-locast-1.xml and hit scan, not need to re-map an EPG
3. From Setting Channels Tool run Automerge
- note for this step you might want to back up your database if you have multiple tuners and you don't want to merge them together.
4. Repeat from 1 for each instance that you have.
You are responsible for ensuring how many streams your extra supports.
I'm trying out NextPVR for the very first time, and this is my first post to this forum; so please excuse me if this is a newbie question. When I go to schedule a recording manually, the UI presents a form where I can specify the Start Time and Duration of the recording.
But what I was hoping to be able to do was to specify a Start Time and End Time (rather than having to calculate what the duration would be). Is there a setting somewhere that adds an End Time field to this form? Alternatively, is there a different form or some other front end or app I can use that would allow me to directly specify the End Time?

My question is, can config.xml be used to configure more that 2 recording directories? I succeeded in setting up 2 recording directories. I tried a second line of <ExtraRecordingDirectories> for a 3rd directory but it failed to work.
I have an original HDHR-US dual-tuner HD Homerun. It's been in use for a long time, with Win7 MCE and for a couple weeks demoing NextPVR in Windows 7. My quick tests in Windows worked great.
Today I began the process of Dockerizing NextPVR on my unRaid server. I believe I created the container correctly - I can access the NextPVR web GUI.

When I GET >> `http://192.168.1.217` it succeeds, returning model, device ID, firmware version, etc.
But when I GET >> `http://192.168.1.217/discover.json` it does 404. So it doesn't seem like my tuner is hosting/serving that file?

My unRaid server lives at 192.168.1.11
My understanding is that legacy HDHR tuners need the extra parameters:
--env HOST_IP=192.168.1.11 <-- this is supposed to be my server's IP?
