seems you must exit gbpvr to reflect timezone changes made for daylight savings time..otherwise the clock shows the change but the guide and clocks within gbpvr don't change until you exit..
and i am assuming all the internal logic won't see the changes either..
Hi,
I am wanting to be able to record myself when i play my ps2. I have an HP tuner card with the inputs to connect to my ps2. Will this GB-PVR program be able to do this without a delay?
I have been looking for a program that will allow me to record myself playing my ps2. Windows media center will allow me, but it has a two second delay, which makes it impossible to play. I've tried many programs, but none of them seem to be compatable with my HP tuner card.
I have been using EWA via an apache server for some time now with no problems. I followed the instructions published on the wiki site when I set this up. Today I upgraded to 99.12 and although I can access EWA I am unable to make any changes e.g. when I ask to record a program it states there are errors on page and nothing happens.
As an experiement I shut down my apache server and ran EWA directly from the Cassini web server and everything worked perfectly.
Is there something new about EWA that's not playing nicely with Apache? Has anyone else had this problem?
I upgraded to 99.12 (and all patches), but the following problem was happening before hand (it started a few days ago). Hoped 99.12 would fix it. I checked and my Zap2It status is active and good until April.
How do you get this to work? I try and use it and it does nothing. Do I need some other software installed to get this to work. Looking through the forums got me nothing but how to do it manually. I would like to know how to have the built in option work. Thanks again..
I had a tough time debugging my chain of remote > WinLIRC > IREx > GBPVR until I ran across a way to debug what whas going on.
It may be a bit remote specific but the debugging concepts will be helpful to many:
Situation:
WinLIRC reads the remote control (green light flashes in concert with button pushes).
No signal is going to IREx (IREx tray icon does NOT flash in concert with WinLIRC and button pushes)
Resolution Concept:
IREx connects to WinLIRC on TCP port 8765, listens to what it hears there and pushes Windows messages into the message queue for the Windows application with focus. Telneting to this port will allow you another debug point if you are in this situation. A key concept is outlined in http://winlirc.sourceforge.net/developer.html
Resolution Steps:
1) Telnet to the PC running WinLIRC: Start > Run > cmd.exe[ENTER]
Code:
telnet 127.0.0.1 8765
or
Code:
telnet 10.10.10.10 8765
2) Press buttons on the remote control. Observe the codes pressed (as an example see below):
4. Ensure that your irexe.cfg contains the correct codes (highlighted above in bold) and the correct remote name ("RCA" shown above).
The hex data, symbolic button name, and remote name are observed in the telnet session. The hex data is mapped to the symbolic button name and remote name in WinLIRC's configuration file.
It may not be something you expect, ESPECIALLY if you did not train or configure WinLIRC to with a config file for your exact remote control.
ok I'm really stuck with this one. Ive got GBPVR set up with a K-world DVB-T 220 card. Using the KWorld software I can pick up lots of channels including the digital radio channels broadcast on Freeview ( in UK). When I switch to GBPVR I cannot see half the channels, in addition the EPG is missing half the channel data i.e. you can see the channels but there is no information for any of them, and all of the radio channels are missing too.
When you flick through the channels in GBPVR there are loads of gaps when nothing happens i.e. press the channel up button and nothing happens.
It looks like I can receive all the channels but just can't display most of them in GBPVR.
I've downloaded the most current mvpmc dongle 0.3.3, and have attempted to install based on the instructions in this (and the mvpmc) forum.
I have a H3 mvp that is connected via wireless to my network.
The dongle seems to load, but I end up on a screen with a green background with www.mvpmc.org surrounded in blue. There does not seem to be any menu, the remote keys seem to have no effect...
