So I just got Vista Home Premium up and running last night, and have my gbpvr essentially working as well...
The only problem I'm having (so far) with gb in Vista is that when I press any of the 'special' buttons on the remote (any of the colors, livetv, guide, etc...) it launches the windows media center, and obviously takes the focus away from GB and won't let me control GB anymore...
Anybody else run into this problem? or have a suggestion?
I'm running Vista Home Premium
I have the Microsoft MCE remote 2004 (version 1).
Hi,
I just installed an onair gt and am wondering if I will be able to do both QAM channels and analog channels off of it? If I use the program provided by onair I can see both types of channels but if I scan via gbpvr I only get a handful of digital channels.
I've just installed Vista Professional and also GPPVR 0.995
The Problem is, the database doesn't seem to be updated. When I update the EPG, the database doesn't change.
I've tried the following: Copied an existing database (the "old" one) before starting gbpvr the first time --> program guide is the old one
updated epg --> program guide stays the old one
uninstalled gbpvr
COMPLETLY deleteted the gbpvr folder
reboot
installed gbpvr, didn't copy the old database
--> program guide is still the old one?????
I also can't change the channels in GBPVR but the change is recognized and saved in the config program?!?!??!??...
I have no clue what's going on! The only strange thing is: I can open an "compability datas" folder, where another database is in it (I don't know the right word, I have an german vista). The name is also gbpvr.db3! Does anybody know this problem?
Carl
PS: I've attached the gbpvr log, there seem to be some database errors...
Okay to set the stage, I've just updated from 96.12 to 99.05. I know thats quite a gap, but I just haven't had time. I updated to .net 2.0 and installed, then put in a bunch of new plugins I've wanted to try.
Now every time I start GBPVR with plugins enabled, I get a hard windows cancel. If I uncheck 'Plugins Enabled', everything starts fine and I don't get a cancel.
I've even tried unchecking all non-included plugins with 'Plugins Enabled' checked and it still cancels.
I have been having problems viewing live TV on a client PC for quite a while. Today I decided to fix the problems and made a clean install of GB on both the Server and client PC's. The same situation continues
Streaming is set on the client system. when I open live TV all works. Then I change channels up or down and at some point the GB freezes and stops responding. The only way to get back is to kill the application. In most cases it will happen on the second or third channel change
I tried file sharing but Live plays in slow motion very choppy not viewable at all. Changed channels about 20 times and did not freeze once
I don't think it is a decoder issue as recordings playback without problems
Please see logs attached
Anyone got any ideas i have been working on this for hours now
I would like to take my home videos (which I have chapter indexed and burned to DVD (as well as placed them as video TS files on the home theater playback system)) and play them back (from the hard drive DVD TS files) on one of the three MVPs in the house. Is this possible? The ability to select by chapter is important because playing or fast-forwarding through two hours of home video just to get to the one scene you want to show GrandMom can be boring!
I realize that GBPVR is mostly about timeshifting, but it is such a central part of ours (and others?!) viewing experience that I would love to see the same convience applied to family video playback (WITHOUT having to find the camera, find the correct tape, hook up all the cables...... you get the picture!).
What a FANTASTIC piece of code! Thanks to Sub and everyone who helps to make these complex concepts easy for us noobs!
For computer programs, including GBPVR that already adjust for Daylight savings time, am I correct in assuming that the program will not be able to self-adapt to the change? If so, has anyone in the affected area figured out what to do about the 2 weeks in which Daylight savings time has started but the computer doesn't know it?
Hi, this is my first post. I have a pvr150 with IR blaster which I am happy with, but I was wondering if there was a budget card that I could add that would give me FM radio?
Recent changes to CNN's education section page have been crashing the cnn dynsource. (The regex hangs while attempting to make a match.) Please download the attached file and unzip it into your gbpvr\pulgins\ubustream\dynsource directory. Until I make a new regex, you will not be able to view stations from the education section.
