I have tried the automatic conversion processing in the processing tab recently and it converted to xvid ok but the settings button next to it is grayed out and I am trying to figure out how to adjust the settings?
Hi all, I've been using GBPVR in a very limited way (basically just recording TV shows) for a few months, but have a question about what I assume would be a little more difficult.
I have some movie intros that would be cool to have automatically play before a movie starts. The intros are things like THX trailers, "Welcome to our theater" slideshows (made into a WMV), etc.
Is there a plug-in or script or something to automatically run a program or play a video when you select to start a DVD, and then start the movie when it finishes?
I'm not a programmer by any means, so I wouldn't even know where to begin to make this myself.
Is there an advantage to saving logo files from comskip and then specifying which logo to use the next time a program is recorded from that channel, and if so what is the command or switch to call a specific logo?
Ok , a little info first. I have 1 PVR150 that uses regular cable to record basic cable channels up to ch 59 , the a/v jacks are hooked to my cable box for digital and premium channels. Everything works fine running 99.5. Thursday , my cable company is realigning a bunch of stations including Speed which presently is on ch59 on basic cable and they are moving it to a digital channel 81. Thursday happens to be the day of the Daytona qualifying races and they are on Speed (I work for Ford so no I can't call in sick ,that would be very suspicious ) I am sure zap2it will not be updated for a little while so my question is how do I make sure I get these races recorded? Presently there is no ch 81 to do a manual recording. Speed is also on ch 409 but when I enabled that channel in my config , the listing for ch 59 disappeared and I lost several recurring recording today on that channel. DO I have to hope for the best and hope Zap2it catch up quickly with the new channels or am I missing an obvious answer?
Cheers - Yes my wife thinks I am nuts for worrying so much about some silly car race
I posted this problem on the HDHomeRun boards. Whurlston tried to help but thought maybe SUB could take a look. I have a HDHomeRun and have no problem viewing live tv in gbpvr. Im assuming that means all the channels are mapped correctly. When I try to record, I get a file that is 0kb large. Found a thread a while back that pointed to multiplexer issues, but I installed and tried multiple ones (cyberlink, ati, intervideo). I posted the logs of when i tried to do a quick record of the nightly news. I have the same problem on 3 seperate computers so I think I have something set up wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have to say GBPVR and HDTV is awesome, I made my first donation today.
After 5 weeks of tinkering in the beginning I have terrestrial HDTV set up now for 6 months now. After that much work I have it well backed up but Iâm afraid to touch it. The down side is everyone wants to watch TV on the plasma because the picture is so good; and no one wants to watch live TV.
I started setting up a second client machine for the kids out in the shop loft, but donât have the kinks worked out yet.
I bought a 22â LCD for the bedroom but like others my better half refuses to have another computer in the bedroom. Currently Iâm running it off a Toshiba DVD-RW Tuner DVR so she can âJust watch TVâ; I donât blame her.
My question is; has anyone been watching HD DVR-MS files on the Hauppauge MediaMVP? Is this a good way to go? Will it convert 1080i to 720 x 480 or thereabouts? I would hard wire it @ 100mb. An alternative is running the display off a computer in an adjacent room, but I can see a lot of running back and fourth.
Tv guide say that it will be finished 22:00
but in reality it most of the time will go overtime
for 1,2,3 hours
How can I fix that my recording have an other end time?
I can use post pad but
1- can only change it 90 minuts in tv Guide
2- insecure , other recording on same source can take away post pad
