directv d10 & Hauppauge IR blaster -- any success?
Posted by: firstblackboy - 2007-02-10, 08:02 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I am trying to get the Ir blaster with my pvr150 to work with my directv d10 receiver. I have been through all the settings multiple times and cannot find the correct code. the red LED blinks but nothing happens on the receiver. Anyone have any clues or pointers that will get me going in the right direction?

  changing drives
Posted by: staubsaugen - 2007-02-10, 07:32 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

What files do I need to save from the gbpvr directory if i'm copying all my recordings onto another drive, then swapping out the original and copying everything back over and keeping the same drive letter? I know that when i swap out the drive and come back up gbpvr's gonna forget about what recordings i had since they're not where it expects them to be.

  Cyberlink Remote help
Posted by: crewkip - 2007-02-10, 05:48 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi everyone I am new and need a little help. I am trying to use the Cyberlink Remote with GBPVR. This remote came with my Powercolor ATI 550 Pro.

It works for the most part. I can change volume go through channels and such but thats about it. Is there no support for all the other buttons on this remote?

Also when changing channels is there a way to get some text showing what numbers you have entered?

Thanks

  navigating menu
Posted by: jackk - 2007-02-10, 04:48 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

Hope I have the right name. Recently the menu that as Record at the top has been generating some new buttons labeled "New Menu" Pressing them goes nowhere. There are now 4 or 5 of them, I think that they have pushed "main menu" off of the page. How do I deleted these unwanted buttons?

Thanks

  YouTube (again)
Posted by: Gemini1706 - 2007-02-10, 03:55 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

This is really strange, as after I download certain videos from the GBVPR YouTube plugin, it plays fine, but when I copy the mpg file to Videos folder, it starts skipping badly (like fast forward) with high pitched audio.

It does the same horrible playback when I play it using WMP.

So the only time the videos play fine is from within the YouTube interface.

Is there ANY difference between the way GBPVR play from within YouTube, and from the Video Library?

(Note1: Very likely these videos are recorded froma PAL standard source and probably interlaced ..etc. Will this make a difference? It does not make a difference from within YouTube).

(Note2: I am using Radeon 7500 video card with CyberLink decoders.
I also tried the same thing on my massive laptop with nVidia graphics card. Same results).

(Note3: I even tried encoding using ffmpeg from the command line with different paramters as mp2 ...etc., noting helped).

have dvd+rw or dvd-rw been more reliable for you?
Posted by: tunanugget - 2007-02-10, 02:19 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

If you frequently use rewritable dvd's...would u recommend +rw or -rw? I read that +r is better than -r but i can't tell any difference and use whatever's cheaper for write-once disks. not too familiar w/ rw disks.

Started fresh with this release.....easy to install and configure to have GBPVR use this process for transcoding.

No problems thus far.....didn't have to change or tweak anything. Big Grin

  recording service unreliable?
Posted by: lost_packet - 2007-02-10, 12:04 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Hi, I'm new to gbpvr. I recently installed a Theater 550 in my Vista box and installed gbpvr. I have noticed that the recording service just doesn't run start when it should from time to time. I will see the icon in my tray, but it appears to stay in sleep mode. Out of 10 times I have recorded, it didn't start 2 times. I can right click and choose to restart the recording service and it works. Has anyone ran into this before? Could it be the service needs to be restarted every time I go into the config?

Another question. When I originally set the EPG recording guide, I could easily choose to record a daily show multiple times. The same show runs two episodes, one after the other. Now if I try to chose anything but a one time recording it will just close and the screen is still green. If I go back, choose a one time recording, it will be red and next weeks show will also be chosen. Could this be due to the same show, next week, at the same time being marked? I noticed it only happened after I selected to record a show week to week, and then went back to cancel and record the same show again. (paranoid about initial problem I guess)

  Plugin .NET 2.0 Compliance
Posted by: jtokach - 2007-02-09, 11:31 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (1)

Sub (et al),

What changes, besides compiling with .NET 2.0, needed to be made to an older plugin so that it would be compatible with the GBPVR post .NET 2.0?

Thanks,

Jim
