Iâm new to this, so I may be overlooking something obvious, but I did search the forums to no avail. Playback of recorded TV freezes after ~5 minutes. The audio continues normally. Mouse movement does not cause the control buttons to appear. I have to close the program (âVictory at Seaâ in this case, but it happens with others, too), restart, fast-forward past the freeze point and continue watching until the next freeze (at app. 5 minutes). Repeat. This happens whether playback is through GBPVR, Real MediaPlayer, or Windows MediaCenter. No other programs are running and the Norton Antivirus log shows nothing happening. According to the GBPVR log, the last item had something to do with the NetRadio feature, so I disabled that plug-in, but the same problem occurred.
Iâve got an AMD Athlon 64 3400 (~3mhz), 1g ram, Radeon X800 GTO 256mb. Iâve attached the logs.
Over the past couple of weeks, recordings made with my PVR350 are blocking/pixellating, stuttering. It's annoying as it is the primary analogue tuner in my system so gets the majority of recordings scheduled against it. (I'm about to move it to last place to lessen the problems though). It seems to be mostly video - the picture might freeze for a second but the audio carries on. There might be a brief bit of pixellation but, again, the audio isn't affected. Occasionally, the video AND audio will skip a fraction of a second etc.
For the life of me I can't think of any changes I've made recently which might cause this.
I'm pretty certain it's not the signal as recordings on my PVR500 tuners don't show the same thing. I'm pretty certain it's at the recording stage as playback in WMP shows the same problems - besides, I'd expect to see recordings from my other tuners showing the same thing, as they'd be using the same playback filters.
I know it's a long shot but does anyone have any ideas of where I should be looking?
I know I could install WinTV to see if the same thing happens but the PVR350 used to work fine with GB-PVR and I can't think of what's happened to change that.
I'm in the process of mirroring files to a new 1Tb NAS (yippee) and wanted to test performance as the NAS is by the router with the MVP while the PC is too floors up on wireless. I set the directories in GBPVR (share mapped to drive) and could see the name only couldn't see the contents - should this have worked out the box or was it just maybe the drive was asleep?
The following windows script will copy the resulting VMR9.mpg file from YouTube plugin into myvideos folder and give it a uinque name (timestamped name).
My question is: Is there a way to make GBPVR execute this vbs script (batch file) automatically after converting to mpg?
Maybe in config.xml??
Or maybe assign a remote bottom to execute this action?
Otherwise I need to use Girder to do this?
No other way?
Code:
Dim objFSO
Set objFSO = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
Dim strCurrentFolder, strTargetFolder, fn1, fn2, strDateTime, str
strCurrentFolder = "C:\Recordings\"
strTargetFolder = "C:\MyVideos\"
fn1="VMR9.mpg"
str=Now()
strDateTime = DateDiff("s","01/01/1970 00:00:00", str)
fn2="VMR9_" & strDateTime & ".mpg"
f1 = strCurrentFolder & fn1
f2 = strTargetFolder & fn2
If objFSO.FileExists(f1) = True Then
objFSO.CopyFile f1, f2
End If
I have followed some other posts about using the sVideo to record from eg. a videocamera. I can't setup the fake channel on the new capture-source. The ADD-buttom i grayed out. Can anyone tell me why?
I'm a minimalist, thus I run the basic install of GBPVR with the default skin.
I use the Weather plugin and Showburner. (stability is my primary goal.)
Lately I have been using the music library built into GBPVR, however the inability to play my entire mp3 share and subfolders has been irritating.
That's really the only feature I require. what plugin do most of you use, and bearing in mind my minimalist mentality, what would you guys suggest I use?
I have searched and can't seem to find an easy solution to this. I want to delete all my channels from the channel database so I can start from scratch.
I have a very simple hardware question.....one that I cannot believe isn't well covered here. It seems that quite a few ppl would want to do what I want to, which is, use a capture card (cable TV right now), gbpvr and video and audio out (with best picture quality) to a standard definition TV (either S-video or RCA. Seem simple enough, but the video out doesn't seem to be covered anywhere! ...I dunno
I have a HP MediaPC with eHome IR transmitter and reciever. I configured the channel changer to use "MCE2005 IR Blaster" and trained the blaster to work with my channel control box. All is well, except...
Almost every morning, I find that GBPVR cannot change channels. Sometimes I can get it to work with 'Restart Recording Services', other times I must reboot.
I feel I have something wrong. Should I have disabled Media PC Recording Service? Media PC Reciever services? Media PC Scheduling service?
I can't figure out what is occuring that causes the loss of control of the channel changer.
Any helpful advice?
