I could really use a filter to remove shows that I am totally uninterested in from the xmltv file that I download.

The idea is a could create a file called unwantedshows.txt containing (but not limited to)

Big Brother
Emmerdale
.

then run xmlfilter data.xml > newdata.xml

The filter would do and exact match on the <title> field.

Over time, I would only end up with shows that I am interested in appearing in the EPG, which would be marvelous!

I guess it would also be possible to write some sql to delete these shows from the database but I am not sure how you could do this safely.

Any ideas anyone?

having problems getting gb-pvr totune up video card

I'm using the latest release 99.5 and half the Net Radio stations won't play. They try to connect then fail. If I download the .pls file manually from shoutcast and run it through VC Media Player, it seems the first source of the offending station doesn't work but if I switch to the second (or third etc)source I get audio.

It looks like GBPVR tries the first source in the .pls and if it fails, it gives up instead of trying subsequent sources.

Is this the intended behaviour?

Is anyone running GBPVR on a FIC Spectra?
I would like to know how to get the VFD display to work with GBPVR.
How does the VFD recive the strings in MCE?

I have setup a unc path for access to my netbox in the music directory settings, I can access the box no probs.

it appears not to like my long filenames.

I tested it by renaming the mp3 to a sorter name and it works fine.

Has anyone out there experinced something similar?

I have a AverMedia A800 and I am having problems with the program scan... all it finds is "BBC HD1" not any other channels and so I am not able to map the EPG and so cannot go any further in the process...

Can anyone help please... I have downloaded the latest software from AverMedia and also tried uninstalling the drivers & apps and reinstalling from scratch.
