Hi
I`m new to all, I can`t seem to get the channel guide to work properly, I have updated the EPG using Bleb (UK) it look`s as if it goes though each channel checking 5 days listings, but when I goto channel guide I only have listings for 3 channels, the others are blank. I would like to use XMLTV plugin, but I can seem to work out how that works.
I am having so much trouble with Daemon Tools and xDVD, done everything i have been told, but still not working.
Is there a way to get GBPVR to play ISO files with VLC player instead of mounting them onto Daemon Tools, as VLC player can play ISO files directly. Thought i'd ask
I'm getting the following error message when I try to import my epg. Alright nevermind I can't get the image small enough to fit in here it's like 3 frickin kbs too big. I'll have to go try and compress it from another machine. I couldn't post it here it was a little too large. I posted it on byopvr.com though here's the link.
I've just got NVidia's PureVideo and installed it on my PVR for GB-PVR to use, but I'm having nasty problems with it. Previously I had some InterVideo DVD-capable decoders which mostly worked but I can't for the life of me work out which software they came with...
If I set TV to use PureVideo then things are basically fine, until I try to pause live TV, at which point I just get a blank screen and no sound. So I've reverted back to some InterVideo non-CSS decoders which seem to work fine for TV.
Now that I have PureVideo set for DVD playback, I'm finding that DVDs play the video back fine but don't have any audio.
PureVideo seems to work fine playing DVDs with Windows Media Player 11 on the same system.
HI, Just wondering if I can use my IR remote control that came with The USB Digi Receiver. If not. Can I buy a remote that works with GB-PVR, If so what is the best.
PS, I`m using XP, not MCE
Has anyone got any experience with this type of network. Particularly with using it with an MVP which I am thinking of setting up in my bedroom and streaming it off my living room HTPC. Is it fast enough for avi, divx, playback. Also how easy is it to plug an MVP into.
I'm trying to get my plugin to play audio streams on a MediaMVP (any stream, not just Shoutcast). I'm transcoding the stream to an mp3 file and then using the GB-PVR audio player to play the file while it's being recorded. This works fine on a standard GB-PVR instance but, when I try to use an MVP for playback, it plays for a few seconds and then stops.
From the log, it looks as if the GB-PVR MVP dongle code is retrieving the file size when it starts to play the file (and the file has only been recorded to for a few seconds). It then plays the file until it has read that many bytes and then stops playing. The regular audio playback code doesn't seem to need to know the size of the file. It just plays it until there's no more file to play.
Is there a work-around for this? I can't see any way to tell the MVP code to ignore the file-size or even a way to access (or set) the file size variable before or during playback.
