Is there a way to configure a Recurring event to record the same titled item in a series?
Example: a cartoon has short episodes... and teh cartoon name is the same.... but I want that to be a single recording file and not 8 min recordings per episode
Cartoon Title -1 Cartoon Title - 2 Cartoon Title - 3 Cartoon Title - 4
So is there a way to configure that where the app will continue recording an show if the series Title is the same until a different TV show starts?
when playing back NZ Freeview recorded TV it simply will not play
this appears to be for Choice & Prime channels only
yet the file size indicates that it has recorded
Like many Plex users, I have given up on the Plex DVR in absolute disgust and I've been happily using NextPVR for almost two years now. The flexibility and reliability is just unmatched.
I still use Plex for my video library and player. It's very good at that.
I have NextPVR recording directly into folders seen by Plex. The thing is that certain recorded programs are not recognized as TV Shows very well in Plex (such as daily news program, specials, sports, etc.). So I record programs like that into my Plex "Other Videos" library (a 2nd folder).
I realize that you can specify a 2nd NextPVR recording folder in the config file. However that's not very user friendly for people switching from Plex. And, in the Plex forums, I tell anyone that will listen how great NextPVR is as an alternative to the Plex DVR.
So it would be really helpful if the UI could at least let you specify a 2nd (maybe even a third) recording folder. I suspect you have been holding off adding a UI for extra folders because I know that UI for an arbitrary number of things is a real pain in web UI. However, adding a 2nd (and maybe 3rd) folder as an interim improvement would be a lot more manageable from a development perspective and it sure would make things a lot easier for new users.
I know you have your own development priorities and limited time. And I know others have asked about this. Just pointing out that a scaled down UI for this sure could make a lot of people happy.
It may have nothing to do with the upgrade but here is a brief history. Trying to watch todays football games via raspberry pi kodi connected to linux V5 NPVR backend. Raspberry pi was failing to play videos, check linux machine is working correctly yes it is recording game and I can watch on kodi on linux. Reboot both pi and linux but same problem. Upgrade to newest NPVR

I searched the forum but could not find anything close to the problem I have encountered.
I am missing 23 hours of EPG data in my TV Guide. The source of the data is Schedules Direct, and NextPVR has never had a problem processing this data until now. The schedule is updated daily at 7 PM. I am downloading next 14 days of schedule data each time. This data has been missing for many days now and I was hoping it was a Schedules Direct data problem that would be corrected by now if it was a problem on their end.
The missing data starts at 8PM Eastern Daylight Savings Time on Saturday October 31 and data in the guide resumes at 7PM Eastern Standard Time on Sunday November 1 - note that during this period Toronto, Canada where I live switches from daylights savings to standard time at 2 AM Sunday November 1. Last year when we switched from daylight savings to standard time we did not see missing data in the TV Guide.
I am running the NextPVR server on Windows 10 and it is at level 4.2.3 (181112) - yes, I know I am back level. I would have checked to see if there was a problem that was fixed in 4.2.5 or V5 but I have been unable to find a list of fixes between releases.
NextPVR logs are attached.
Note, I have posted a question to the Schedules Direct Forum asking if there is data missing in the stream being processed by NextPVR. ( I have no idea if NextPVR downloads the Schedules Direct data to a temporary file for processing, and if it does where this file might be so that is could be attached also)
So Nextpvr now detects my 2255, scans for channels and finds all 48, but in settings-devices after the name is white text in parentheses saying "unavailable". If I try to watch live TV I get "failed to start requested stream".
