Today at about 9.05am I fired it up to watch Insiders on ABC (live TV) but got nothing in Kodi, and when I tried in NextPVR desktop, just a black screen. NextPVR web app throws a transcoder error when I try to watch live TV there.
I checked the decoders and tweaked to set all to LAV filters, no change.
Updated NextPVR to the latest version, no change.
At some point this morning I attempted to record Insiders: there are several .TS files in the Public Videos folder but they are all
I have a TV recording from 29 Oct which plays fine in NextPVR desktop.
Signal strength has always been fine, and I still get a good signal via the TV's built-in tuner, using the same aerial wall outlet
Is there an easy way for NextPvr to update EPG on startup.
I have set up NextPvr on Rapsberrypi4 in a docker container in LibreElec.
Since the system is not running all the time, and EPG is schedule to update once a day when the system may not be running, I am trying to have nextpvr update EPG on startup. I have try to use PreStartup.sh but LibreElec will not allow script to execute on it file system.
First, I love NextPVR, it works perfectly for my OTA channels. :-)
However, I have have had mediocre luck recording IPTV streams. Some come full length, most are short.
I figure the culprit is my bandwidth I have 25Mbps shared by 6 People.
My issue is the Kodi client displays an hour long TV episode as 60 min even though many are shorter some much shorter. When I look at the actual files, they show (in windows) as the correct length of time.
This introduces a situation when fast forwarding where if I go too far, but still well within the time remaining bar, the recoding just stops and sometimes it crashes Kodi.
Does anyone know a way to tell NextPVR or the Kodi client to use the actual time of the file itself rather than what the guide says it should be?

I have just discovered and setup the latest NextPVR on Linux on a VM.
Install was a breeze and it all worked from the start.
Thank you so much to everybody that has made this software possible.
In Australia on DVB-T all of our stations are muxed with multiple channels on the same frequency.
My Problem:
Coming from TVHeadend, I can't seem to group or enable configuration of the channels that are on the same Mux to record more than one show on the same Mux/tuner.
I can tune all channels individually without a problem.
With my HDHomerun I can record two distinct channels. (Dual Tuner)
I cannot seem to find any info or settings (apologies if I have missed it) whereby I can enable the Muxes so that I can record two different shows simultaneously on the same mux and single tuner instead of across two discrete tuners.
Does anybody perhas have some advice for this noob?
Just trying NLite for the first time tonight (my NextPVR server is running on Docker on my Synology NA). The NextPVR server is set to US Eastern (TZ environment variable set to America/New_York). I see the correct times everywhere except in Nlite. "Everywhere" here includes: the NextPVR web interface, the NextPVR client for Kodi, and the iOS app.
However, NLite does not seem to be getting or applying time zone information. This applies across the board - the current system time display in the upper right, listings in the TV guide, and times for "ready" recordings and pending recordings. All of these times are displayed in UTC. In the Windows 10 settings, the time zone is set to "Eastern Time (US & Canada). Any idea why NLite isn't converting time to US Eastern?
So, I get an unhandled exception error when clicking on show titled "Can We Talk Moving from Discord to Dialogue - Incivility in the 2016 Election Campaign What Can the Media Do About It". Obviously, stupid how this epg entry was entered into the scheduledirect's guide data. I can see why it throws exception as limits are probably in place for reasonable length filenames. My question is how do I get rid of the entry on the recordings page. If I delete file, the entry persists. I even went into npvr internal folders to try and remove it. It persists and has for a month despite my best efforts. Is there a way to reset list of recordings in nextpvr 4.x (last version recommended for windows)?? I am probably intermediate in the world of windows pvr solutions with some programming experience so if you have any ideas let me know. I am thinking of just nuking my install and reconfigure everything again but seems like overkill to do so. I have backed up my recordings list so could probably nuke without too much effort if I need to do so. Finally, is it possible to run batch processing on epg data from schedules direct to "check it for long filenames, missing info, etc."?

I have attached a simple program that will allow you to trigger a jellyfin EPG update after NextPVR's EPG update has finished. Using this approach you don't have to rely on a scheduled "Refresh Guide" task and it probably can be disabled. Alternatively JellyRoll will check and if you have the Refresh Guide task scheduled in the upcoming 15 minutes JellyRoll won't trigger an update. Boths update should be sheduled in off hours, the jellyfin update can be long.
To install, unzip the file into NextPVR's program directory typically "C:\Program Files\NextPVR" or /opt/system/nextpvr or /apps on Docker
To run you will to create an API key which is easily available using the jellyfin dashboard.
The following lines need to be added into PostUpdateEPG.bat

I ran into a situation this week which seems like it could be problematic. One of my recurring recording rules recorded 3 episodes of a series called "Baseball's Seasons". However, it turned out that what actually aired in that time slot was a rerun of the last game of this year's World Series. So, the problem (presumably now is that NextPVR "thinks" that it recorded the 3 episodes of Baseball's Seasons that were listed in the guide data.
On the main settings page (this is using the web interface to the Docker version), the box that says "Avoid duplicate recordings where possible" is checked. This is normally what I want, but for this particular recurring recording, I might want to override that setting. So I'm wondering if either of the following is possible:
- Is there something that can be added to an advanced recording rule that will tell NextPVR to record every airing of the program, overriding the "avoid duplicates" rule? Actually, I suppose there could sometimes be other reasons for wanting to do this (mainly when guide data is wrong).
- Is it possible to modify my recording history for Baseball's Seasons so that NextPVR will pick up the "already recorded" episodes if they air again?
Hi, and thanks so much for developing and supporting NextPVR! I have been getting used to version 5 and find a lot to like. I'm very glad there is still a desktop user interface as well as a new web interface. The web client is useful, but is missing some features that are important to me. When I schedule recordings, I'd like to be able to set a negative value for pre-padding or post-padding in order to handle a sequence of programs that overlap slightly on the schedule. This is a regular need when it comes to prime-time programming in my area. I can do this easily with the desktop client, but the web client only gives me padding values of zero or greater from a dropdown list.
