I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but as http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/wiki/ seems to be down I'm struggling to find anywhere else that discuss loading EPG info usable by GBPVR.
Anyway, the Bleb download is totally broken - has anyone else experienced this? I used to use the Radio Times import into XMLTV GUI (V3.07.00W) until that stopped working before Xmas. (And Bleb doesn't do ITV channels anyway).
18:20:26 - ...:\Program Files\XMLTV GUI\scripts/uk_bleb/ukbleb.lua:48: invalid option to `format'
18:20:26 - Grab failed on channel "bbc1"
18:20:26 - Finished pass 1 of grabber UK_Bleb
Error downloading listings: Access violation at address 10006181 in module 'lua50.dll'. Read of address 0000007B
Is there any other tool out there that will get me UK TV listings in a format that can be displayed in GBPVR EPG. I'm at a loss to find anything right now, so GBPVR is dead as a Freeview PVR as it stands.
There is a new DVB transmitter (well, new and new, but since november or so) in Gnesta, Sweden. Here is what is needed in the BDA ini file to scan only the relevant frequencies.
Sub, please tell me if you see this so you can include the file in a future release. Otherwise I'll poke you
These are the steps that I take when running showburner
-Select an episode click on transcode.
-Choose add file to dvd
-Click on transcode again
-Choose Burn DVD
After I perform these steps the message box says something like "transcoding file..."
A new process called ffmpeg starts running
Eventually that process finishes running and ImgBurn starts running
As soon as ImgBurn starts running a msgbox pops up saying something like "Cannot find video_ts in c:\dvdtemp\video_ts"
Sure enough it seems like no files have actually been created. The folder e:\dvdtemp folder is completely empty.
Can someone help point me in the right direction? I tried searching the forums for a solution to this answer but couldn't find anything.
What do I need to do to make showburner actually create the video_ts and audio_ts files?:confused:
BTW I am still using .98 so I guess that means showburner version 2.3...
Hi, I'm having a problem setting up my capture device to be recognized by gbpvr. I made up a new ini. for it using GraphEdit. Here is my info:
[Pctv550]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=BDA 2883 TVTuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=BDA 2883 Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
The problem is, when I go to configure Capture Sources I do not get to the place where I can put in the information: Source - which is a cable box hooked up to composite output, and Fixed Channel - since I do not have Ir blaster. Any help would be appreciated. I'll check back later. Thanks
Yes I know it's only a minor bug.... but using the Transcode option from the video library to convert mpg files to PSP mp4 format does code the title and subtitle into the file. Since it is this information which is displayed on the PSP, it makes selecting which program to watch fairly difficult - all programs are listed as 'title - subtitle'.
This works OK for those files automatically converted.
Anyone know of a way to manually add this info into an mp4 file. Can't seem to find tool to display or edit this info.
I noticed what may be a problem with my 99.05 box last night.
I have two tuners. TWINHAN1 and TWINHAN2.
Last night, I recorded 4 programs, sequentially on the same channel.
I use 2 minutes pre-padding and 5 minutes post-padding
20:00-21:30 (19:58-21:35)Big Brother Live Launch Show
21:30-22:30 (21:28-22:35)Desperate Housewives
22:30-23:30 (22:28-23:35)Desperate Housewives
23:30-00:00 (23:28-00:05)Big Brother's Big Mouth
I would have expected the programs to have recorded alternately between both tuners, but in reality, only TWINHAN1 was used.
In my GBPVRRecordingService log, at the time the next recording should kick in, I see loads of these...
03/01/2007 21:28:00.765 VERBOSE [5] Schedule recording is allocated to a tuner that is currently in use.... Moving recording to another available capture source.
03/01/2007 21:28:00.765 VERBOSE [5] RecordingFactory.save()

03/01/2007 21:28:01.156 VERBOSE [5] Save(): Updated existing scheduled recording
Until 21:30 when I get this...
03/01/2007 21:30:00.234 INFO [5] Found new programme requiring recording: Desperate Housewives
03/01/2007 21:30:00.234 INFO [5] Stopping existing recording on this capture source. (removing from currentlyRecording)

03/01/2007 21:30:00.578 VERBOSE [5] Save(): Updated existing scheduled recording
Both tuners _Will_ record at the same time, but for some reason won't alternate when the times are sequential.
I'm pretty sure I've seen this work at some point in the past.
Is this expected behaviour, or do I have a problem?
Gbpvr will only display widescreen on my PC, is there any way of changing this, as the picture is very distorted.

I have a new KWORLD DVB-T 220 card which has two tuners, one analogue, one digital. I'm chasing down a problem I have with digital recording in another thread, but want to know if there's any way to do analogue recording using GBPVR with this card as well.
Ideally I'd like to be able to record from both tuners at the same time (I can view channels from both through the apps bundled with the card), but even just being able to record from analogue or digital would be great.
I've been playing with GBPVR over the last week (without a tuner card!) and today bought a KWORLD DVB-T 220 from a local store.
It's a dual tuner one digital, one analogue, that can do simultaneous display (one from each tuner of course).
I'm having trouble getting Live TV playing in GBPVR. I can map the digital channels to EPG channels OK, so I know that the card is working (getting signal and displaying video and audio in the preview window).
When I try to play live TV in GBPVR I get the error "Index was outside the bounds of the array". I can schedule a manual recording OK, but nothing is recorded.
Any troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!
