I received a WinTV-PVR 150 model 1062 from the Mrs., which inclides the 45 button remote. I got the card set up and working with GBPVR and both work excellent. However, the remote is another story.
Although I have attempted to install drivers off both the CD and the latest drivers available directly from Hauppauge, the IR receiver (listed as 'eHome Infrared Transceiver' in Device manager) insists that no drivers are installed. I was able to force the latest drivers to install properly by uninstalling every Hauppauge driver, running their driver clearing program (HCWClear.exe) and reinstalling everything, but I would get the "Failed to Initialize Infrared Remote Hardware" error. Although the box ans various vendors claim the kit I purchased works under WinXP Pro, I am feeling that the remote does not.
Any insite, work-arounds, etc would be greatly appreciated.
Since reven has stopped developing MyVideos, will the video player native to GBPVR support RMVB files? I get a lot of videos in that format and would love to play it within GBPVR.
i usually transcode my mpeg2 files to avi in order to save space. i used mediacoder so far which i use on my desktop computer. i just noticed (when switching back from the myvideos plugin to the video library plugin) that it has a transcode option. I tried to test a recording i made but it did nothing. i cant see it working and there is no output file. is this still experimental? it would be awesome to do all the transcoding from the HTPC. if its not experimental what am i missing? i cant find any setting for it in the config.
I have an ATI 550 Pro using the latest build (0.99.5). I'm splitting the cable signal between the HTPC and the STB. I'm trying to set up GBPVR so it can record directly off the internal tuner and switch to S-Video input to record off the STB if needed. Here are the steps I took to set up Capture Source.
First Capture Source:
Name: "AV1" with recording source set to "S-Video, External tuner"
EPG: "None"
Channel Changer: "none"
Added only 1 channel named "digital"
Second Capture Source:
Name "Cable" with recording source set to "Internal tuner"
EPG: "Zap2it"
Channel Changer: "none"
Channels added by updating the EPG
After adding the second capture source the following were observed:
1. The channel "digital" is visible in "TV Guide" but I can't get to it by surfing through the channels.
2. The channel "digital" is not listed under the "Channels" tab in the config program.
3. With only "AV1" under the "Capture Source" list, I can see the signal off my STB perfectly fine. However, the problem starts when I add another Capture Source.
I don't know what I did wrong, my method seem to copy the "fake" channel method completely (which I read by searching through the forum).
I have 3 types of files (100's of them) for karaoke : .CDG, .WMV and .KAR
I want to add a new menu item called Karaoke and under Karaoke add 3 Menu items : CD+G Karaoke, WMV Karaoke and KAR Karaoke.
I'm using an external freeware called GOSING to play the .KAR files.
Question : what will be the best way to play the other 2 file types (WMV and CDG) under the GBPVR and how to add them to the menu stracture.
I'm getting the "GB-PVR has encountered a problem and needs to close." at start up. If I don't close the warning and click on LIVE TV, it works fine. But of course as soon as I close the warning box GB-PVR closes with it.
This is a new install, just got the ATI TV Wonder Elite, works fine with Cyberlink PowerCinema that came with it (it's crap, but it works). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling GB-PVR, uninstalling Cyberlink, reinstalling .net 2.0, and cursing very loudly.
I'm running WIN XP, ATI Radeon 9550 with 6-12 drivers, Athlon 64 on an MSI NEO-K board (VIA chipset which seems to cause some issues with other hardware).
First of all i'd like to say i love this software. Just getting used to it and having trouble playing ISO's, i have been at it all afternoon, evening and night, Novice here :p when i choose my ISO file in the XDVD menu, and press play, i get a DOS window coming up saying the following:
'C:\Progra~1\DAEMON' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
'C:\Progra~1\DAEMON' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
'sleep' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Press any key to continue . . .
I adjusted the 'playmvpdvdiso.bat' file to the correct Daemon Tools path according to what i read on here, my 'playmvpdvdiso.bat' file contains the following:
@echo off
C:\Progra~1\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe -unmount 0
C:\Progra~1\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe -mount 0,"%2"
sleep 5
rem Leave only one of the following lines without a 'rem'
rem [Audio recompression only--Video remains untouched] [only about 30-50% cpu time]
