My tuner card is the ATI TV Wonder 200 PCI. Not being listed in the recording sources dropbox, I looked forward to add the card to the list. I'm trying to follow the "add new capture card" instructions on the wiki, but when I open the "insert filter" box, my card's not listed under BDA Receiver Component or BDA Source Filters in the GraphEdit program. I'd really dislike to shell out more money for a PVR-150 if the TV Wonder 200 is good enough to use. Please help, and sorry if it's the wrong forum to post for help.
I just installed the newest version of GbPvr over my last version. Since then, the screen saver even show up over the visualisation (full screen) when playing music. Anyway to prevent that?
I am using the Advison Skin. GbPvr is in overlay mode.
Question to whoever uses GBPVR over a wireless network (this applies to any PC as well, but more important on a "un-attended" PC such as PVR).
I am currently using the XP SP2 built-in Wireless configuration. It's "ok", but the problem I have is that sometimes I will loose the connection, and XP will not try (or not insist enough) to re-connect. So, I may find the GBPVR PC has been disconnected hours (and in cases, days) from the network.
There are other applications out there to control different WiFi (or network in general) profiles. I tired several (BVRP-something? I forget the others), but none reached that sweet-spot.
I need something that will try and reconnect, and make sure I'm connected all the time. Also has to be discreet - I can't have new dialogs/popus open all the time (for obvious reasons).
(I have two AP in the house, so the perfect solution would be a proggy that will try to reconnect, and if it fails after a while, or if the connection-speed is below X, will switch to the other AP).
Anyone has good experience with such proggy to recommend?
I recently purchased a Logitech 5300e surround sound speaker system & a Creative Audigy SE sound card. I have Cyberlink PowerDVD 6 & Nvidia Purevideo decoders.
When playing DVDs in PowerDVD or Windows Media Player w/ Purevideo, I get correct 5.1 sound. However, regardless of what decoder I use in GB-PVR, I only get the front left & front right channels of audio (it's playing in 5.1 format, but the center and rear channels have no signal). Using the Purevideo decoder in GBPVR, I can bring up the options menu while playing a DVD & successfully run the speaker tests of all 5 satellite speakers, but only get playback sound from L & R.
It seems I can switch the settings back to Stereo mode to get all of the sound, but the whole reason I bought the system was to set up a home theater. GB-PVR is a shell for Windows Media Player, correct? So why does everything work fine in WMP, but not GBPVR?
Sub - looks like great version (as usual...). Upgraded in minutes.
I have a question:
what are the possible fields under "<MusicLibraryMP3TagFormat>". I've tried [track] or [track number] and they didn't work.
Which brough be to another issue - I just noticed an issue with the sorting of the files (mp3). I have this folder. Files are named "[NN]-[SSSSSS].mp3" (e.g. "01-Gaslighting Abbie.mp3"). GBPVR displays the names as "[title] - [artist]" correctly, however they are sorted by the title. Not by the track number, or by the file names (same in this case).
Also, CTRL-G seems to have no affect.
So, to sum:
1) Fields in MusicLibraryMP3TagFormat
2) Sorting view (^G)
3) How can I control the default sorting (in config.xml?)
I don't know when this happened or if it will cause any trouble, but I noticed this error while researching my installed codecs. This is a screenshot from GSpot.
When trying out the new resume feature for DVD's (Thanks, that is really nice!) I noticed that I couldn't navigate the DVD menu's anymore. The left and right arrow keys were changing the volume instead of navigating. I found this:
In the keymappings/DvdPlayer.xml file. You can see that the last 2 values for DVD_VOLUME_UP and DVD_VOLUME_DOWN override the left and right navigation keys from above. Deleting the the DVD_VOLUME_UP and DVD_VOLUME_DOWN lines restored the navigation for me.
