Merry Christmas everybody!!
How do I find the best setting for my X1950XT and Powercolor Theater 550 Pro (tuner card) on a CRT that are only 17 inch? When I do adjust AVIVO setting in Catalyst driver it either get to intense to look at on desktop, but OK in GBPVR LiveTV or to washed out but ok for desktop... Is there any trick to get a perfect match between background screen (desktop/windows) and watching TV?
Where can I find control for motion adjustment, interlacing and other setting on PC Theater 550 Pro? I have installed every driver from ATIs web site, but it seem not to matter for where I can see the control of PC theater 550 Pro.
just upgraded to most recent version. seems there's a 5s lag/sluggishness whenever u start gbpvr and try to access the tv guide. once u've accessed tv guide once, then it's normal speed again. it's slow the first time again if u've closed/restarted it.
Hi, Im new to these parts of the woods and I don't really know if this is the best place to ask this but I've searched around and havent found what I'm looking for. I don't know how I got the program but I believe it was something like "try this". My situation is that I have videos on my pc which I want to watch on my 360 so I can watch it on the nice LCD^^ Right now I can watch movies in My Videos folder but only wmv and some videos that I convert to wmv still do not work on the 360. So I guess I need to transcode the video as people have told me? I'm a complete newbie on this topic, been searching google and forums for some time and if I can get any help on this It would be highly appreciated!
First or all the idea of having a youtube screen is really cool!
Unfortunately I have noticed a few issues with it actually crashing GBPVR.
This seems to be when playing a video file that it has downloaded, error seems to be around system.net.web exception thats from memory so maybe incorrect.
Also it seems to download very slow I have the Telstra 10Mb download cable connection and it was taking for ever to download 2.5MB, this could of course be my PC or the youtube site itself so nothing concrete at the meoment - just an observation.
Thanks for the new release and have a great Christmas
I've made this sticky (closed) thread to post useful information about problems that may arrise, or to get useful tips out there. I'll add more information to this thread as we start to get feedback from this new release. If anyone has info they feel should be included here, please PM me.
Some important first comments though...
Installing v0.99.5
As always, its recommended that you backup your config.xml and gbpvr.mdb/gbpvr.db3 files if you're upgrading from a previous release. Do not copy these back on to the new release though - these are just in case you need to go back to the old version.
I can't get Gb-Pvr Configuration to save and/or edit an added Capture Source for UbuStream. As soon as Configuration is closed and reopened, the alternate source has disappeared. I set the intended UbuStream Recording Source as "External Recorder PlugIn", the EPG Source as "none" and the Channel Changer as "No Channel Changer Required", but can't carry the configuration any further.
My tuner is a Hauppauge PVR USB2. Help would be much appreciated.
I have an old computer laying around that I thought I could try to turn into a PVR. I read an article about using an old PC to do so. My question was, just how old can you go?
I have an old 800 MHZ Athlon thunderbird with 512 MB of SDRAM. I've found a pvr/tuner card that will run on an 800 MHZ processor (AVerMedia MULTRA1500). I read that the recomended processor speed for GB-PVR was 1 GHz. Does any one have any experience with such an old chipset? I'm not really interested in rewinding or fast forwarding "live" video. Iâm mainly interested in the on screen TV guide, the recording and the other HTPC aspects. Thanks.
Okay, I know this can be done, I'm just not sure which is the easiest way to do it and which, if any, plugins are needed.
I want to see whether a show is a "repeat" or not on the guide. (original air date would be nice in the description)
I'd also like to be able to see "repeat" flag of some sort in the web interface. I mostly use GBPVR via my MVP, so the guide is my main concern though.
1.I got a hanging gb-pvr, if i try to cancelling a recording?
2.does this new version automaticly using the new database?
Can`t try another channel bacause the GB-pvr is hanging and dosn`t cancelling the recording. After restart it begins to record the same channel and I´m not able to stop
