I have one reoccurring scheduled ("ER"). Today, we were watching TV, and wanted to just watch it live (what was about to be recorded). So, we tuned to that station just before the program. At the time the recording started (about 22:00), the TV viewing just stopped and jumped back to previous screen (guide in this case).
This is the first problem, as it's a bit annoying - it could pop a similar screen to the "watch XXX / don't watch TV" instead of just "abruptly" exiting TV. Never mind.
So, now I want to just watch it. I tried from the "Pending" screen - this is where I usually do it. But it failed with an error (logs attached). However, this is not the problem I want to point out - so, I canceled this recording, and pressed "Live TV".
I got the famous popup but without the "Watch XXX" - just a single "Don't watch TV" option!!!
Even restarting the GUI didn't convince GBPVR that I can watch TV - remember - there's nothing being recorded now (or shouldnât be). But now looking - I found there was a file in the recording folder (2.9GB, so I guess it's the whole hour long). But it does not appear under the Recordings screen.
How can I change only one or two button to be have another colour as a warning NOT to delete/cancel a show permanently when I want to exit from current menu? I always get confused which button will do what even in Norwegian (had to use English to see more clear what they do), so I will not by accident stop a recording.
Button that I might mix up its purpose:
Quote:Cancel
Exit
and to some degree
Quote:Delete
I think it would help to make these button in another colour then the white border and/or text so it will be visual clear that these button can do. This way you know that these button should be only chosen when you really want to delete or cancel a file/movie/recording from being stored.
well i thought i downloaded everything i needed to get GBPVR to work correctly but i guess i was wrong.
can someone help me out with this error?

I have noticed that if I record a show that is in progress, and someone tries to watch tv on an mvp, the tuner that is recording a show is used for the live show thus causing my recording to have the wrong content.
I have noticed that this occurs when the recording takes place on tuner #4 rather than number 1.
another Issue I have found when recording shows that are currently being watched, is that the show never finishes recording and I end up filling the drive that the "live" tv directory is on.
attached are logs. the one show that did not lock the tuner was ECW scheduled while in progress on Tuesday the 5th i think at 9. the channel was changed at around 9:30.
The instance where the drives filled up occurred on sunday/monday around midnight. one of the shows was family guy, the other was something on discovery HD (channel 1617).
So i have 1 cable jack leading to computer area that currently has a 1->2 splitter so my tv and cable modem have a connection. Any issues adding another 1->2 splitter to make 3 total lines?
I have just installed a hauppauge wintv 350 card and downloaded the gbpvr software. After installing the software, there was no desktop shortcut to launch gbpvr. What do I need to do to launch gbpvr?
I have been using the Music Player plugin for the last few weeks but found a problem I can't resolve. With the plugin installed and Live TV running on my PC, I get 100% CPU spikes every 30 seconds. This makes my live TV stutter. I am also using VA and Weather plugins. I took each one out of the plugin folder, one at a time and have proven that it is the Music Player plugin doing it. It does not seem to spike when I am on the front GBPVR screen, but does it like clockwork on Live TV. I have not tested it on other screens. It does not seem to effect the MVP but that has a lot of buffering so I may just not see it. For the moment, I have removed the Music Player plugin but would love to bring it back if this problem can be solved. Any idea what happens every 30 seconds? Is there any testing I can do? I have not seen anything in the logs, but I may be missing something.
When two shows occur after each other, you lose about 6 seconds while it closes one and starts another. I would like to be able to fudge the start time +-x seconds so I could catch the beginning of the second show.
My example is My Name is Earl/The Office. There is hardly any time after Earl's 20th Century Fox screen and the start of The Office. I would like to start recording The Office about 6 seconds before 8:30. I used to edit the schedule to make Earl one hour long and get them both in one file, but the last time I tried, it didn't record The Office at all. Now, I advance my PC clock by 6 seconds.
I also wish there was a way to make the gap even smaller.
Neither WinTV2000 nor gbpvr give me stereo audio on live TV. Picture and mono quality are both very good. Comp and S-inputs also work perfectly. Hauppauge has tested this card and returned it. I have Cablevision (mid-Hudson Valley) and take the cable input right out of the wall. Latest drivers, HCWclear used several times. Windows XP SP2. I can only think there is a input level deficiency that keeps the tuner decoder from delivering stereo. Any ideas welcome here or by email. Thanks.
