I've been running GBPVR on a system for the last couple months without any major problems. Just recently, without making any changes that I can recll, my TV Shape changed to resemble the 16:9, even though the setting in GBPVR are the Standard 4:3.
The menu's and system desktop display in full screen, it's only when you view tv or movies that it goes to the widescreen format. I've tried to change the setting unsuccefully so far.
Any thoughts?

PS: There is a darker black band on top and bottom of screen, then a lighter black band between them, and finally the display. It alo says something about Letterbox in the upper right corner of the screen when first opening the tv viewer.
I recently bought a Hauppauge PVR-350 and not being happy with winTV I found gbpvr. After downloading it I keep getting an SQLite error which I can't figure out how to fix. I get the error when I start the gbpvr config utility and pretty much anything I do.
I have read the "Sticky: v0.98.13 survival guide" but I was not able to find the ChangeDatabase.exe utility it mentions.
Since December 1st, I don't get any e-mail notifications on my subscribed threads... have they been disabled? I haven't seen anyone mentioning this... am I the only one?
I try UbuStream with the Community skin.
When I try to play a station I get this error:"Object reference not set to an instanc of an object".
If I change to the Blue skin it works exelent.
Tonight, after recording "Anders och MÃ¥ns", my recording service went up to 100% cpu. A restart fixed it, but I'm curious what might have caused it. I don't see anything abnormal in the logs. Do you, sub?
I am posting in case this might help someone else.
I use purevideo decoder. In gb-pvr I use Custom VMR9 to fix a garbage pixel problem with certain video aspect ratios.
I have nvidia 7800GT and was using forceware 84.21. I wanted to try the newest drivers so after researching I found people seemed to like 91.47 for stability and speed. After installing these I began getting video playback problems in gb-pvr 98.13 with the video tearing mostly in the top 50% of the screen with lots of movement in the video.
So I checked these forums and changed my dx9c quartz.dll to version 6.05.01.0902 from dx9b which was already on my computer. All I had to do was search for quartz.dll and find the correct version then use replacer to replace the version in windows\system32.
This did seem to fix interlacing problems and the fast forward seems better now but the tearing still happened so I tried the WHQL forceware 93.71 and voila the tearing nearly went entirely away. I do still notice it a little but it I can live with it now.
Tried to watch ClerksII on GBPVR (Latest version) the other day, but as soon as the movie started the only audio I got seemed to be music and some basic sound effects (foot falls, not much more), none of the actors voices could be heard. If I changed the audio track I could hear the commentary without any issue. I checked all the setting on the DVD and everything seemed to be okay.
I put the DVD into my panny DVD player and had no issues. Anyone have any tips on this?
