sub Wrote:GB-PVR only works with the newest 88x devices (Hauppauge HVR-3000 and HVR-4000).
sub, your change log for these cards notes:
Quote:- Added support for new Hauppauge HVR3000/HVR4000 devices including DVB-T, DVB-S and software encoding analog. These devices have one tuner for DVB-S, and another for DVB-T/analog, so these two can be done at the same time. HVR1100/900 could also work in theory with this software encoding, but will require updates to direct.ini. To support the analog side of these devices, GB-PVR reuses several SoftPVR components, so this Hauppauge supplied software must have been installed.
Normally you say if it doesn't have a H/W MPEG2 Encoder, GBPVR can't support the analog side. Am I given to understand that these particular cards, while software analog-based, are an exception to this rule, provided SoftPVR is installed ?
Hi,
After some upgrade for GBPVR (before 0.98.13) I don't see my old shows when I click "Recording". All the new ones that were records after the upgrade are there, however.
Is there a way for GBPVR to recognize and list the old recordings?
I might have installed GBPVR in a different directory, but my recordings are still on the same directory.
This has happened repetitively now for a few weeks.
When I watch LiveTV and it is buffered (timeshift mode), if I hit the back/exit button on the MVP Remote, the MVP crashes and trys to contact the MediaMVP server application.
It never recovers unless I physically turn the MVP off and restart the GBPVR recording service
Any help? There is no error info in the logs (I checked the timestamps) and I am using v98.13
I'm a US user and recently started having static issues on two channels (69 & 70). I don't use a cable box (before my PVR) and for trouble shooting purposes, I tried to take the raw feed (no splitters) straight out of the wall and still get the same thing. Normally I have a TIVO and a cale box off the same feed and they show 69 and 70 just fine. I tried the WINTV2000 app and get the same results. I don't recall this always being like this, but it may have been since my cable company just moved some channels. I don't recall if these were moved or not. Anyone have any idea on how I can clear these up?
thanks
I'm running GBPVR09813 and a PVR350 card.
i've attached a pic of what the two channels look like:
I have v0.98.13b and I've noticed that when recording from s-video source using the Hauppauge PVR150 I can't have any audio bitrate lower than 192kbps. If I attempt to set it below that the mpeg file ends up with 384kbps for the audio bitrate. It seems any setting below 192 is ignored. I also don't see any way of setting mono audio to save space compared to stereo audio. Can anyone explain the bitrate problem? If I need to provide more info let me know.
