  musiclibrary2 visualizations
Posted by: petesgalaxy - 2006-11-26, 10:22 PM - Forum: Recording2, MusicLibrary2, SystemStatus Support - Replies (1)

is there a way to change the visualizations that play, like you can in windows media player. for example in panel2 after a bit, the album art switches to a wmp style visual and I'd like to change that to some of the other media player styles.

  Number of Cards per Computer
Posted by: rhonke - 2006-11-26, 10:05 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

Hello,

I have 2 questions.

1) Can 2 WinTV Pvr 500 be connected on 1 computer and record 4 tv programs at once?
Pc specs (Optiplex 740 Minitower)
AMD® ATHLON® 64 3500+ (2.20GHz, 512KB)
1GB DDR2 Non-ECC SDRAM,667MHz

Or whould it be better a Pentium Dual Core

2) While you are recording 2 tv shows at the same time with a WinTV Pvr 500, can you also record from the FM radio receiver at that time?

Thanks!

  Video Card Recommendation
Posted by: dtraynham - 2006-11-26, 09:11 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

I am looking at buying a Chaintech XGI Volari V5 256MB 8x AGP Video Card. The detailed specs are on the website below. Is this a good card to get? Is there anything that I need to think about before I buy it? Any help would be appreciated.

  Net Radio Station, Genre, Song
Posted by: bossman9 - 2006-11-26, 09:05 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I know this was discussed in earlier threads, but I have not been able to resolve the Visualizations or Station, Genre, Song issue....

I don't really care about the visualizations, but would like to see the other info (Station, Genre, Song ) . After making the suggested changes in the config.xml file I get "Failed to connect" when using Net Radio....

To date, the only way I get the radio to work is with Visualization and not the other info...

Please advise what log you may need to see

Using 98.13b
pvr 150
xp pro
PS if you set the usewindowsmediaplayerforaudio to false, what program will GBPVR use??

Thanks Bossman9

  Media Player 11
Posted by: nightwalker - 2006-11-26, 07:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Now that we're through the IE7 updates and associated problems I'm wondering if anyone has installed WMP 11 and if it's working together with GBPVR correctly?

I installed it on my wife's computer and it looks very nice. I just don't want to install it on the PVR system without hearing if there were any problems.

  Temporarily disable a season record
Posted by: nv40 - 2006-11-26, 07:20 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (5)

Here's my scenario. I have a show that comes out with new episodes in like 6-episode batches, every couple months. During the time when there are no new shows, they play reruns. So currently, i set a season record, then have to delete it during the reruns, and then set it again when they start with new episodes (this also effects the way gbpvr keeps a certain number of shows, because i have it set to keep 5, but once i delete and then start a new season recording for this show, it adds 5 more to the allready existing 5). A way to simply suspend a season record until you re-enable it would be very useful.

GBPVR Client / Server setup (98.13b)
Posted by: SFX Group - 2006-11-26, 07:08 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

Hi

Ive had a look and cant find details on this...

I notice there is a function in the CONFIG thats says "Configure this machine to act as a client" then theres a few input boxes and drop down menu about streaming and file sharing.

This all looks fairly straight forward BUT i dont see anything about how to set the SERVER side of this up...

Can someone please walk me through the back end of this on items like how to set the server side up and then what the client needs to see network wise and what ports are going to be used if streaming (as share looks straight forward) and what the client is capable of doing when interacting with a server....

Also how will i know by looking at the client if the connection is dropped etc...?

If this works as i think it will then this will negate the need for a SOFTWARE MVP thats been worked on a little while ago..

Hi I get this error when I try and play back a file over the network.

I can play it via the PDVD application

This is a new install of windows and gbpvr. All updates have been installed and I've install GBPVR a number of times.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

  Hauppauge Nova S PCi
Posted by: sota - 2006-11-26, 06:20 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Has anyone got this card to work? It's on the HCL and I've downloaded the latest drivers from Hauppauge and instaled a mux filter but still no joy.

The config app lists the card under Device Type - but if I ask it to only show detected cards, it's not listed.
