I'm currently running 98.13. After watching several recordings (5? maybe) at some point the next video I watch will continue to show the ready to watch recordings screen after hitting play. I can hear the audio and I can skip around with the remote but I have no video. The solution is to close and re-open GBPVR. I've attached my logs and there is a line when it is getting ready to show the file where it states that it can't find the Intervideo codec, which it is always able to find when showing previous recordings. Is there anything I can do to make this nuisance go away? Is there a better codec/mux that I should be using?
As always, excellent product sub, every release continues to amaze and impress me and my friends.
PS. look for 7:42 AM on 11/16 in log for the example of this happening.
looking for someone that can compile a vb program for me...
it's super simple and shouldn't need any tweaking, tho i would love it if someone could add command-line processing...
[but i'd take a compile as-is no problem]
here's the code..
Code:
Dim FileName As String
Dim FileStream As New SpFileStream
Dim Voice As SpVoice
'Create SAPI voice
Set Voice = New SpVoice
'Assume that ttstemp.txt exists
FileName = "ttstemp.txt"
'Open the text file
FileStream.Open FileName, SSFMOpenForRead, True
'Select Microsoft Sam voice
Set Voice.voice = voice.GetVoices("Name=Microsoft Anna", "Language=409").Item(0)
'Speak the file stream
Voice.SpeakStream FileStream
'Close the Stream
FileStream.Close
'Release the objects
Set FileStream = Nothing
Set Voice = Nothing
thanx in advance..
i just don't have vb or vc++ compiler or know of any free alternative..
I'm running through the tutorial trying to create a basic hello world plugin in Delphi .net. When I try to add a reference to GBPVRPublic.dll, I get the error E:\gbpvr\GBPVRPublic.dll is not a valid assembly, type library, or COM object.
I uppgraded to the latest version 2 weeks ago but haven't had much time to watch LiveTV, mostly recordings. Now in LiveTV I get out of sync badly about after 2 minutes, voice before vid. It's so bad I have to either go into timeshift mode or go in and out of LiveTV. Recordings work fine. I tried upgrding my vido driver (geforce 440) but just as bad, if not worse as the TV flickers a bit when I press the LiveTV button.
This makes me belive there is a problem with my 150 drivers as the sync problem is in LiveTV. Recordings work fine.
No settings have been changed after upgrading.
What 150 driver are people using now? It's about a year since I tried new ones.
How exactly do the size values relate between the filelist container element, special element icon view, and the icon view composite images. I am attempting to create a 3 row by 6 column container list for the default music playback icon view, but I am finding that the x,y sizing variables are not 1:1. Is this Normal? How is it calculated?
OK, I know you need to transcode video to MPEG2 (or MPEG1) as the MVP plays that natively, but what is the story with audio? In the past I have just transcoded the audio to mp2 as that is what I read others have done and it has worked well many times for me.
But if I have an Xvid that already has audio in MP3 format (and IIRC the MVP does both mp2 and mp3 natively), can I forgo the audio transcode completely (this is an option in GUI4ffmpeg) ?
Will it be a (much) faster transcode if I say video only?
Will it likely still be in sync if I choose NOT to trasncode the audio, as I understand the audio/video transcodes would split the two streams and remux them back together, so presumably keeps up with the audio sync in doing so?)
k.
[EDIT]Well, that was weird. When I turned off the option to transcode audio, it said I could only save the file as a Video Stream (m2v). Looks like I misunderstood what they meant about that option... :o
When I turned it on and tried to choose mp3, it always flicked back to ac3 (which I know it cannot do, at elast not without the mvpmc domgle). So mp2 was the only option anyway .... :o :o
Add the ability to cancel a certain episode for an entire season of the show. For instance, if I have a reoccuring recording and I have already watched a certain episode and don't wish to watch that episode again, I would like to not have that episode show up in my pending recordings for the rest of the season or forever. There is already an extension that doesn't record duplicates but if you delete an episode there is no duplicate so it will still show up in the pending recordings. I would like to have a manual way to tag an episode to not record it again until I remove that tag from the episode. This happens a lot during a season because of re-runs of a reoccuring recording.
I have installed comskip and comclean. Comskip seams to work as it generates a file however the commercials are not being removed by comclean. I have done a search and I have learned that I must make some changes to a Bat file. Unfortunately I am not sure what a Bat file is or how to find/change it. I am running the latest version of gbpvr. I have reached the end of my capability and knowledgeable directions would be greatly appreciated.
