  Still trying
Posted by: TornadoTJ - 2006-11-14, 05:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I'm still trying to get things working great, but I'm definitely making progress.

it appears when I recoird HTDV, everything works, looks, plays back great. I haven't watched entire HDTV shows (yet) but so far what I've seen looks good.

Live playback is where things go downhill. I switched to Overlay mode tonight, and things seem to be far less jittery, it seems now Im' getting almost all the frames displaying.

How do I know which one is the right one for me to use, and is there anything I can do to complete the process of fine tuning?

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

  aspect ratio when scaling windowed mode - puzzling!
Posted by: tzara - 2006-11-14, 05:05 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

just wondering...is there any way to lock the aspect ratio?
its really annoying when i try to scale down GBPVR when i'm in windowed mode it just stretches out the image, instead of keeping it at a fixed aspect ratio.

it seems like i've tried every setting in config that has to do with aspect ratios and whatnot, but i cant get anywhere with this.

thanks for the help

  Switching TV inputs - GBPVR doesn't come back
Posted by: spapesh - 2006-11-14, 05:04 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Has anyone had trouble with switching to a different input on my TV(DVD player, PS2, etc) and then coming back to the one GBPVR is on?

When I come back to my GBPVR input, the screen is blank. I have hibernation and standby off.

My TV out is off a FX5200. I am running GBPVR 98.13.

My current solution is to reboot my computer.

Any ideas? Thanks!

  PSP Avivo + title
Posted by: jam_zhou - 2006-11-14, 03:57 AM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Hi All,

I've tried converting movies to PSP format using the Avivo and it's really fast...the only thing is I don't know how to add the "title" option so that I can see the title of the movie I'm viewing on my PSP.

Any ideas?

I can use FFMPEG, but I find it too slow.

Thanks,
Jam.z

  Problems with 98.13
Posted by: madcat - 2006-11-14, 03:54 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (14)

I have several issues lately. I can't even tell if they are all related to the new version or what.
1) I got few BSOD in the last few days. Never had them on this box. Things that have changed recently were mainly the new version, and a new TV that required the PC to display in a larger resolution. I must admit there were other changes (a routing software, a remote PC control). I can't make what is causing it.
2) Several times it failed playing files (even music). Restarting GBPVR usually solves it.
3) We had several issues starting playing recordings while still being recorded. Today (13 Nov, 20:05) we started (tried to) playing a recording that started few minutes before ("Prison Break"). It failed to play (giving an error screen). I tried restart of GBPVR, but it didn't help. Later I checked and saw that the MPG file was zero bytes.
4) What's the story with the screen saver? I just bought a new Plasma screen, which makes it horrific not to have a SS... I tried editing the config.xml manually, same result - no SS.

  New user with an "SQlite" error
Posted by: DrJ - 2006-11-14, 02:07 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi, I just found out about GBPVR and am very excited to get it up and running. I followed the install instructions but I get an error when it gets to the "Config" stage.
I've attached the text of the Error. I'm hoping someone can make some sense of it and help me figure out what to do. If I need to provide more details please let me know.
I sure appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks

  Renamerecording help
Posted by: BamBam - 2006-11-14, 12:31 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

I'm having a problem with the renamerecording utility. I just finished updating GBPVR to the newest version. Actually, I did a fresh install to clean out all of the things I wasn't using. The update was done on the same computer and WinXP installation so there should be no problems with missing files????
For the renamerecording utility, I downloaded the one on the wiki and used the postprocessing file from the old installation so the syntax did not change. Now after I record, I get the following in the rename.log file.

RenameRecording v1.1 build20051223
