Does anyone know of a file undelete utility that works with large video files, when it's not been sent to the recycle bin?
I've used a number of these tools successfully with smaller files, but everyone I've tried is unable to show the deleted mpg as anything other than a 0-byte file. The file was deleted in the last couple hours and there was no disk activity since then. My guess is it's related to the file being over 2GB in size. Still, I would think some tools out there could do this, but I can't find one. Hopefully one of you know.
By the way, my favorite tools for undeleting is the freeware PC Inspector found at http://www.pcinspector.de/. Works great when the files are less than 2GB in size.
I just updated to the lastest version and had to reconfigure things. Now when I enter a channel with a zero in the number (not leading, like 202), it doesn't send the 0, only 22. It sends leading zeros fine.
Any thoughts? I've tried the zero pad setting in the channel changer config both ways.
I can see in the "debug.txt" window that if I point the remote at the capture card, the irremote.ini file is being processed, and I can remap those signals.
If I point the remote at the MVP, the irremote.ini file is not being processed, so I can't remap those signals. Is there any way to configure the system so that IR signals thru the MVP can be remapped with irremote.ini or any other method?
Thanks
Howdy all, I haven't used GBPVR in about 18 months and I re-installed it last night and frankly I am in awe of how far things have come since I first tried it out back in '04. Fwiw I had not one issue with install and set-up - it was very smooth and bug-free.
The main reason I haven't used it to be honest is I got a lifetime tivo back then - I have three at the moment (only one lifetime) but will be dropping one soon. I also use the home network option & store some tivo files on my htpc.
That htpc is also the system that I use for GB-PVR.
As some of you will know you can now transfer MPG videos from your tivo server up to your Tivos - and this morning I did just that with a couple programs I recorded using GB-PVR. Worked excellent with one hitch.
Tivo likes the video files to be in one directory.
GB-PVR seems to want to create subfolders for each show and TIVO can't see those.
Is there a work-around to forrce GB-PVR not to organize things in subfolders (I am thinking there might not be). Or, does anyone know if there is a way to tell TIVO to look at more directories (this might be better asked at a Tivo site and I will if I need to)?
Thanks in advance and I was so happy to see the site still up and running - I made a small donation way back in '04 to Sub and I will be making another soon - this software is truely amazing for being 'free.'
I am interested in a feature that would allow me to run processing on a file that was canceled. Preferably a new batch file, such as CancelProcessing.bat, would be used to process a file that was canceled during recording.
Example: A football game goes shorter than scheduled - I want to cancel the recording and have comclean run to remove commercials.
Workaround: I manually run comclean on the file that was canceled.
I've been running GBPVR for several years now problem free(!!) using a single Hauppauge PVR-350. I've just tried adding an extra card and am looking for some advice on a problem I have.
In my existing setup I have my PC (with no keyboard/monitor) connected straight into a TV using the TV out on the PVR-350. I use a programmable Sony IR remote control to drive the standard IR receiver that came with the PVR-350 and let GBPVR do the direct channel changes on the tuner card for recording purposes.
Ok, thats all great and has worked well for years.
What I've tried to do is add a Hauppauge HVR-3000 (DVB-T/DVB-S/Analogue) to this PC whilst keeping the PVR-350. The HVR-3000 has no TV-out so I intended to use it for recording purposes only on DVB-T and DVB-S and then use the existing PVR-350 for playback direct to the TV.
My problem is that when installing the drivers for the HVR-3000 it causes me to get an error when running the IR driver (IR32.exe?) saying it failed to initialise the IR remote hardware due to a conflict. This happens as soon as i install the main hybrid driver for the HVR-3000 card. So I can end up with all drivers installed and the HVR-3000 and PVR-350 fully recognised by the OS in device manager but no working IR to drive the PVR-350.
Is there anyway around this so i can record DVB-T & DVB-S using the HVR-3000, record analogue on the PVR-350 and use the PVR-350 for IR control of GBPVR and playback thru it's TV out?
