I downloaded and installed the new version. First off, thanks Sub!
I did find a minor issue in the new version. The mute button on my remote doesn't mute the volume in GB-PVR.
Here's how I got there...
I have a PVR-350 and I've applied the remote fix for my 45 button remote through the Config App. Still in the Config App, on the "Playback" tab, it doesn't matter if "Volume Control" is set to "Master Volume" or "Local Volume." It also doesn't matter if I have the direct access set on the "Misc" tab either or any combination of the two. The volume up/down buttons work fine.
The command is being received and executed by the software. If I'm outside GB-PVR and press the mute button, the red X appears on the speaker icon in the system tray. Push mute again and it goes away.
I was playing around with different Audio Renderer settings but wouldn't think that would effect this issue.
Second issue (minor):
In the posting for this new version, I noticed it says:
Quote:Improved volume control, including OSD graphics
This is great, I had been hoping for this for awhile! However, the only time the speaker and volume level appear on screen in the app is when I use my volume control knob on my keyboard (which changes the system's master volume level).
One thing I noticed on this issue, when I have "Volume Control" set to "Master Volume" in the Config app, it changes the "Wave" volume level on my system. The OSD only seems to appear if the Master Volume level is changed. But the OSD doesn't appear at all when it's set to "Local Volume," which kinda makes sense.
Hi all,
Using a program named sherlock I have seen that I have two h.264 codecs registered but am unsure how to check/set which one is the system default? Is there a way to register which codec directshow uses by default?
Currently I have 0.96.12 version. And am quite happy with it. It runs without any issues on a PIII 600 mhz.
Should I upgrade? Is there any significant advantage in doing so? ( i know there should be some, but would like to learn from the guys who already did so on a similar setup)
I was running an age old dongle on my two MVPs, having not upgraded it for years (!?) as it worked perfectly well and MVP use was secondary to the main GBPVR PC use.
Upgraded main system to the latest version and thought I would use the GBPVR included dongle.bin which I had never done before (used the hauppauge on in the past).
Result:, neither the MVP which I had hard re-booted (disconnected from mains), or the other one, could find the server. Furthermore the hard boot one would not get past the "five blocks loading screen - it would get to two then start again"
Solution: windows firewall on the server was not allowing GBPVR pass through. Im sure i had enabled this in the past, but maybe multiple GBPVR uninstall, re-installs had removed this. Nevertheless, an easy thing to forget.
As an aside, the MVP was requesting a new IP address every 60s when nothing happened, causing my DHCP server to crash after using up all of the available Dynamic IP addresses (50 at the time!).
Anyway , new dongle seems much better - wasy faster response than ever had before!
with the latest release i'm getting an error with the wrap-around on the menu buttons. i.e if I press up when the first button is highlighted, or down when the last button is highlighted then an error message pops up (the mouse pointer disappears too) and I have to force an exit from GBPVR .
Never seen this problem before on any of the previous versions....
Hope you can help!

I have a question regarding the naming of the recordings. Prior to v98/SQLLite I was using the rename recording utility. Now that I am on the SQLLite verison is does not support the SQLLite database. I am trying to get the recordings to save as [Show Name - Show Title.mpg]; e.g. I taped Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for my daughter and I wanted the name to save as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse-Mickey-Go-Seek.mpg, but it saved as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse_20061014_09000925.mpg.
