here's a batch file i wrote to look up the current program details from sqlite3.exe so i could pipe it into my lcd..
all that is needed is sqlite3.exe and your database location..
[edit batch file accordingly] can be modified to get any info in the db! very fast too..
Boy,i wish someone would have helped me find these silly connect strings..
so i share them here with hope others would find it usefull..
enjoy!
[use: "whatever.bat channel"]
Code:
@echo off
set ch=
rem **convert real channel# to oid channel# [internal ch# scheme]
for /f "usebackq tokens=1,2 delims=, " %%v in (`sqlite3 -separator "," "C:\Program Files\DEVNZ\Gbpvr\GBPVR.DB3" " SELECT oid FROM CHANNEL where channel_number=%1; " `) do @set ch=%%v
rem calculate and reorder current date
for /f "usebackq tokens=1,2,3,4 delims=/ " %%a in (`date /t`) do (@set nowdate=%%d-%%b-%%c)
rem convert pm 12hr time to 24hr time
for /f "usebackq tokens=1,2,3,4 delims=: " %%f in (`time /t`) do call :24hr %%h %%f
rem calculate time and concactenate date and time together
for /f "usebackq tokens=1,2,3,4 delims=: " %%p in (`time /t`) do (@set now='%nowdate% %hr1%:%%q:55.0000000')
rem run sqlite with the parameters we built
sqlite3 -separator ": " "C:\Program Files\DEVNZ\Gbpvr\GBPVR.DB3" " SELECT name, sub_title, description FROM PROGRAMME where start_Time < %now% and end_time > %now% and channel_oid = '%ch%' ; "
rem function to convert time format
:24hr
if "%1"=="PM" (set /a hr1=%2+12) else (set hr1=%2)
goto :eof
it just outputs to console, but add a ">filename.txt " at end of second sqlite command and it will write that file with info...
This is my first post, so let me start by thanking Sub and all who have contributed to GB-PVR. I moved over last year from Myth, and have never looked back. Better yet, my wife and kids say thanks, too!
Now, I was having the common problem of WAV volume dropping, so I googled the issue and discovered the new release and the fact that it is supposed to address this. Needless to say, I installed immediately. Unfortunately, on my system (Pundit, Pentium Northwood, 512 RAM, ac'97 audio) it refused to load and put up an 'unhandled exception' on 'OnVolumeChange'. Sounds like an audio-related issue. Unfortunately, it hadn't occured to me to post, so I downgraded w/o stopping to get errors and logs. If they will be of help, I can do the up/down grade again to capture this info. I'd love to get this sorted and not have to return to Windows to fiddle w/volumes. But thanks again for a great program!

Hi,
I'm just about to buy a second MVP for an upstairs room. I currently have GB-PVR 98.8b but running dongle 97.13 as I had stability issues with the one provided in 98.8b.
My question is, will that dongle work with all versions of MVP? I seem to remember reading somewhere that there were compatibility problems with the new MVPs but I may have mis-remembered that and it may not be the case. My current MVP is a D3A.
I just had a funny thing happen. I am using 98.13 and am also using the wMVP. I has been working fine but this morning I got into the guide and started recording a few programs. But all of these programs was set as Manual recordings even though I scheduled them through the guide.
Strange, the only eplanation I have is that I might have set the recordings at exactly the same time GBPVR is set to update the EPG. The EPG is also set to copmlete EPG reload so it clears the EPG prior to reloading it. Could this be the case?
Thank you to all for your continued assistance, I have a minor issue I hope you can point me in the right direction.
I searched the Wiki and the Forum and did not find any references to similar behavior. While watching Live TV on the client, it always exits from Live TV to the main menu exactly on the hour. It is not a big issue as it work fine when restarted. It appears to correspond to the "progress bar" (the indicator at the top of the OSD screen) reaching the end of its time.
I've got GB-PVR automagically transcoding my recordings to MP4 (Video iPod) which I have manually altered in the confix.xml file to be 640x480. This has worked fine until the most recent update (I went from 98.08 to 98.13b). Now, when I try to playback an MP4 file, I hear audio, but the display hangs on the Play/Resume/etc. screen. The GBPVR.exe-native.log file appears to indicate that the system is improperly identifying the video resolution as:
video resolution is 1818322494 x 846807653
I can see where this might be problematic, but am unsure what might be causing it. Anyone have any thoughts/suggestions? I'm attaching the GBPVR.exe-native.log file, in case there is additional information that might shed some more light on the problem.
