  High CPU usage?
Posted by: fhmanas - 2006-10-22, 01:31 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

1. MVP MediaServers reach high mem usage as shown in attached photo, at this high mem usage, mvp normally does not connect. I have to terminate the task to reset and mvp can connect again. Is this high mem usage normal, I never had this high a usage rate when I was still using 96.13, it was normally at the range of 60-80M mem usage.

2. Why is the mediamvp server window showing up on the desktop eventhough the task was owned by system. When I reset it disappears. I have set 3 servers to autostart, and sometimes only 1 will appear on the desktop, even if there are 3 processes running.

  Support for AVerTV Purity 3D MCE 250?
Posted by: skullxbones - 2006-10-22, 01:14 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I was looking at the ATI Theater 550 Pro until I read the review of the AVerTV Purity 3D MCE 250 at HTPCnews where they compared the two cards.

AVerTV Purity 3D MCE 250 Review

I was amazed how much sharper the AverTV 250 was in the resolution charts. I don't know if it was the test setup that might have caused the difference but AverTV's website has it for $59, so I'd like to give it a try.

AverTV for $59

Big question is if it will work with Gbpvr. I saw another post here about the card but they never said if they got it working with Gbpvr. Anyone know if it does or will be supported in the future? Anyone have any experience with this card?

  Remote loses functionality after restart
Posted by: angusmccloud - 2006-10-22, 12:41 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I'm using HIP to get my remote to control GB. I followed the instructions in the wiki to set up Hip, and it works perfectly (all the buttons were doing what they were supposed to).
However, After rebooting my computer many of the buttons stop working. (so I have to go into hip and reprogram all of them... Which is a pain)... I only restart the computer once a week or so, but having to reprogram it is just annoying...
The buttons that stop working are the Channel buttons, all 4 of the livetv, guide, etc., more info, track+, track-, green start button.

I have a hauppauge 150MCE, came with this MCE remote (from Newegg). Running XP-Pro, AMD64 2800+, 1GB-pc3200, 2-250GB HDs, ATI 9600PROse 256mb.

Thanks for the great program Sub! I love it even without my remote working properly Smile

  Forum Timeout
Posted by: Zathras - 2006-10-21, 11:54 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

Sub, is there a way for a member to change the forum timeout value?

I am probably the worlds slowest "hunt and peck" typist :p and by the time I am ready to submit my post it says I am logged out and must log in again. When I do log in aall of my previous work is gone.

I can understand the need to log off inactive users and this is a very tiny annoyance but I hope there is a way I can be able to complete my posts before timeout.

Thanks Kevin

  How to save an new recordingschedule
Posted by: hoefkko - 2006-10-21, 10:44 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (4)

I have next lines of code (part of larger code block)

GBPVR.Public.Programme pr;
pr = GBPVR.Backend.Common.ScheduleHelper.getInstance().GetProgrammeByOID(Progid);
GBPVR.Public.ScheduledRecording rec;
rec = GBPVR.Backend.Common.ScheduleHelper.getInstance().SheduleRecording(pr.getChannelOID(), pr.getStartTime(), pr.getEndTime(), pr, GBPVR.Public.ScheduledRecording.TYPE_RECORD_ONCE, GBPVR.Public.ScheduledRecording.GROUP_NONE, null);

Everything is working correctly, the rec variable is created correctly, but I don't know how to save the newly created ScheduledRecording object to the database.
Or should I do it in a complete other way?

Can somebody help me please ?

  advisor - advance - skin - overlapping date text
Posted by: wannabepvr - 2006-10-21, 08:53 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

I think this may have been raised before although I can't find it now. I like this skin, but would like to be able to tidy up the date overlap at the top.

I had a look at the skin files but couldn't actually work out where this bit is coded.

Any help aprechiated.

  Playback Settings for an ATI Theatre 550
Posted by: Undeadlord - 2006-10-21, 08:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I seem to be hoplessly lost here guys and I was hoping someone could help me. I seem to have messed up my filters and codecs and am having no luck getting a decent picture out of LiveTV.

First, in the Playback section what should I be using here? under Hardware decoder and under Software Playback? In the Video Decoder section I have three options, System Default, Intervideo Decoder and Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder. However none of those with any combination of the VMR/Overlay options gives me anywhere near a decent picture. Very grainy and lots of artifacts all over the screen.

The audio seems to be working alright if I just leave both options on System defult.

Any ideas???

Thanks

Undeadlord
