  New Session Logout API
Posted by: jcole998 - 2020-08-23, 01:37 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (2)

I was just wondering... do I need to use this API call after each and every session login? What happens if I login in twice without an intervening logout? Will the second login be rejected?

Thanks.

Installer still installing Obsolete UK DVB-T Tuning ini's
Posted by: Lao Pan - 2020-08-23, 06:30 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (1)

Hi Sub - in the 700 MHz clearancee thread https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...#pid544310 you said you had deleted the old files, but the installer has just added over a hundred obsolete UK ini's to my clean folder.

The last retune for 700MHz clearance in the UK was last Wednesday, so all the Sep 2020 files are now valid.

It's not a major issue. but when stations keep moving Mux's every 2 or 3 weeks and you have to scroll through the list for each tuner, the less junk there is, the better.

Quote:Fixed a streaming issue with streams that have bursty data (IPTV etc), which could lead to brief periods of stream corruption in some player, or potentially interrupt playback in the web app.
Fixed issue that could cause LCN numbers to sometimes not be found on Windows when scanning for channels
Added LCN support for Linux
Updated tuning files for UK
Fixed issue with DVB Subtitle selection in nextpvr.exe
Fixed issue with bad colours used with some DVB Subtitles
Added web server response compression. This can help slightly for performance over wifi or the internet, particularly for verbose responses, like channel listings.
Fixed the name of the index.html page in the web app (was showing in browser as 'Channels')
Fixed issue with web player status message field
Space bar, or mouse click in web player can be used to toggle pause status
Added session.logout api call.
Fixed issue with saving new device information if the device had an apostrophe in it's name
Added a work around for devices that needed to be reset after standby
Removed logic that renamed ATSC channels to the Schedules Direct name after mapping. This logic is still in place for QAM and CableCard devices.
Now better differentiating logging of .bat/.sh script output
Better support for xmltv content from HDHomeRun devices

  Windows Linux subsystem
Posted by: glue - 2020-08-22, 08:32 PM - Forum: Other Clients - Replies (4)

Not sure where to post this but ill try here,
Windows 10 linux subsystem  running ubuntu 20.04.1 lts, when installing the nextpver-helper.deb i  get this

Code:
Setting up ffmpeg (7:4.2.4-1ubuntu0.1) ... Setting up nextpvr-helper (1.4) ... System has not been booted with systemd as init system (PID 1). Can't operate. Failed to connect to bus: Host is down nextpvr-server: unrecognized service dpkg: error processing package nextpvr-helper (--configure): installed nextpvr-helper package post-installation script subprocess returned error exit status 1 Processing triggers for libc-bin (2.31-0ubuntu9) ... Processing triggers for man-db (2.9.1-1) ... Processing triggers for mime-support (3.64ubuntu1) ... Processing triggers for libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0:amd64 (2.40.0+dfsg-3) ... Errors were encountered while processing: nextpvr-helper E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

so form what i understand (not a lot) is that since its subsystem systemd can't be set to run on pid1

NPVR 5 unable to tune HDHR dual
Posted by: jpbelanger79 - 2020-08-22, 12:32 PM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (9)

Hey there!

Since yesterday for a reason I can't explain, I'm unable to tune my HDHR dual from NPVR 5 latest version.

Oddly, I can tune any of my channels in the HDHR Windows client. Also, I have no problem tuning my Extend from NPVR, only the Dual. Logs are attached. If anyone could help would be appreciated!

  Problem with scanning SAT channels
Posted by: Escape7 - 2020-08-22, 08:42 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (23)

Hello sub,

i installed NPVR for a friend. He uses SAT.

There is strange behavior when we do a channel scan. The frequencies are scanned. (i edited the list time ago, and you integrated it - Astra 19.2).

The list is correct, i can see that when a frequencies is scanned, the correct number of channels is found. But after the scan has finished a lot of channels are missing. It is not a problem with the selection of free and encrypted channels, they are just missing. It also happens that some station of a frequency are found, and some are missing.

I think this is a bug. The reception perfekt, so no critical signal.

I tried to edit the list, leaving only one (or two or three) frequencys, save it under a new name, with new description, did a scan of that "satellite" -> channels found and added.

But its hard to do this with a lot of transponders.

I think about two possible problems:

- The scan is to fast, so that the channels are not registered to the database (the number of channels is correct if i check during the scan, so they are scanned, but missing afterwards).
- There is perhaps a general problem in the process while scanning the satellite (creating the list, or something like that).

Would be great if you can look into that.

  No Video in app
Posted by: omairkha - 2020-08-22, 12:31 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (2)

I've been using v4 for a while now and finally decided to update to v5. Everything works fine in the web interface but I can't get the video to play in the app. I hear sound when I try to watch live TV but screen is black. For recorded video I hear sound again but the screen doesn't change. It looks as if the app froze while trying to render video.

Under the app settings in Decoders:
Video renderer is EVR and Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder is selected under the decoders MPGEG2 and H.264. There is no decoder listed for HEVC.

Thanks in advance for the help!

  dvb device with multible frontends
Posted by: geos_one - 2020-08-21, 08:13 PM - Forum: Linux - Replies (15)

it looks like that the device scan can only find the frontend0

Code:
root@media:~# /opt/nextpvr/system/DeviceHost/x64/DeviceHostLinux -discover <devices>   <device>     <name>adapter0 (Realtek RTL2832 (DVB-T))</name>     <type>DVB-T</type>     <filter>adapter0</filter>     <instance>1</instance>     <resource>adapter0</resource>   </device>   <device>     <name>adapter0 (Realtek RTL2832 (DVB-T))</name>     <type>DVB-C</type>     <filter>adapter0</filter>     <instance>1</instance>     <resource>adapter0</resource>   </device> </devices>

but with dvbv5-scan yo can specify the fronentd to use

Code:
[    8.691315] usb 2-3: dvb_usb_v2: found a 'Astrometa DVB-T2' in warm state [    8.856085] dvbdev: DVB: registering new adapter (Astrometa DVB-T2) [    9.053815] i2c i2c-6: cxd2841er_attach(): attaching CXD2837ER DVB-C/T/T2 frontend [    9.053831] usb 2-3: DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (Realtek RTL2832 (DVB-T))...   Is there a conflict with nvpr on 2 units?
Posted by: SamM - 2020-08-21, 02:48 PM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (1)

If I install v.5 on a 2nd unit to do a test, would there be a conflict between the two? If so, how can I disable it on the original unit while I test it on the 2nd?
