I've been using NPVR for quite a while and have amassed a large collection of recordings! Some shows don't automatically tag with the season and episode numbers - most do but some don't come with that info from the EPG it seems.

I have googled the episode titles to find out the season and episode numbers but I can't work out if it's possible to amend the tag on the recording? I did try to amend the XML that appears next to the recording file but that didn't do anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I have been running v4 since January 2020 (Windows 10 / i5 / 12GB RAM) with no problems.



My PC auto-updated the Intel HD graphics driver yesterday (20.19.15.5126). There is no option to roll-back the driver. Since then, trying to play a recording or live TV in the client results in choppy video & audio. If the STOP button is hit quickly enough, you get back to the client, otherwise the client locks up in a few seconds. The client then needs to be killed in Task Manager.



I uninstalled v4, updated the HDHomerun software and installed NextPVR v5. After configuration, I get the same symptoms with the client, but I can play recordings & live TV in the web client. The recordings also play fine in VLC.

A better configuration screen for setting up server config details.

I set the app up this PM on a Nvidea Shield,  there's no way to swipe to remove a server

the app set some IP address for 172.17.0.12    although the household is on the 192.168.1`.x addressign schema.

Very frustrating as it is.

New to the whole pvr/nextpvr, love the capacities it adds to the home network.. it sure has lessened the load on the torrent server...

A notify of future episode/airing in x minutes function, or a rework of the record later func.
 
a function to import TVVI files, maybe. Or something like a black hole folder to monitor for tvvi files.

I've installed a few of the plugins; Weather and RSS reader specifically, but when I restart and open the settings dialog nothing appears. I have noticed the wiki hasn't been worked in awhile.. do plugins still work??

HI Guys me again, sorry to bother you. i have been scratching my head on this one

i am running version  5.0.7.200726  on linux and have managed to get the 4 DVB-S adaptors working (thanks Martin) and downloaded the channels via Astra 28.8 i have now loads of channels but cant view TV within NextPVr webpage  also Kodi is not pulling the tv channels through (although TBH i will work on that later)

i have then auto mapped all channels to freesat EPG and run the EPG grabber and get this error in the logs - No /var/opt/nextpvr/scripts/UpdateEPG.sh file found

can someone advise why i cant get live tv and why freesat EPG is failing i include the logs if you need more info let me know

i have read somewhere about 0282.ini but i assume that this only equates to Windows not linux

Hopefully I have searched thoroughly enough before asking...

Is there a way to send a command to the device I am recording from a few seconds after I manually stop a video or a recording stops?

I think I can do it in postprocessing.bat but I have two tuners and am trying to figure out how to send the command to the specific device that has either just finished recording, or showing live tv.

Is there a place to run a stopping executable of sorts on a device specific basis?

Hi Folks,
I've recently started using NextPVR as my preferred choice of server for Live TV. I have all my channels configured correctly on the backend, which play with no issue in Kodi.

One thing I'm particularly interested in, is hearing from users who use the artwork feature for their TV channels and how you deal with artwork exceptions/mismatches that can often occur when downloaded from the TVDB site, ie TV Shows that are identified as Movies and vice versa.

I currently have a number of mismatches in my 'Shows' folder that I would like to fix in order for them to display correctly in Kodi. I thought it was going to be a simple case of just manually over writing the current images with the correct artwork image(s) and this would appear in Kodi, once re-started or the Guide data cleared/refreshed.  
Unfortunately, that method didn't seem to work for me, so wanted to know how other users solve this problem of mismatched artwork in Kodi?
Is there a way to refresh the old artwork with the new in Kodi?

Also, when no artwork is identified on the TVDB site and artwork is added manually, is it necessary to actually include the programme and episode details on the catalog.xml file or is the path to the artwork files sufficient?

Please accept my apologies if I've posted in the wrong section, but I couldn't find anywhere dedicated specifically for artwork, hence the reason for posting in the Windows section as that is the platform I use the most.

My first issue has been fixed now a new one

I have two DVB-t2 tuners, TVbulter and a PCTV 292e nanostick

of course tvbutler is seen by tvmosaic and the PCTV 292e is seen by video station.

neither tuner is showing in devices

Do I need to do anything extra to get them to show up?

my version of nextpvr

Hi,

I am new to NextPVR and I have installed it using the stable image in Docker.

I have added my IPTV m3u form my provider that works fine in VLC and TvMosaic.

I am now trying to move it over to NextPVR.

Channels and gudie data have all worked correct. I can record video as well.

But my problem is when I playback any recordings or try and watch live tv all I get is a grey screen and not sound.

I have also attached the logs if that will help

My synology is a DS1515+ for referance.
